you can't anymore
va passed a law a couple years ago keeping all that stuff strictly confidential
apparently people were finding easy targets in parking lots writing down their license plate number and getting their address to rob them

Man, I wish you could though. I'm talking sweet sweet revenge. Which is probably why that info is locked. Seems like some sleuth out there could figure it out though.

So instead I've been kicking around the idea of starting a website kind of like grouphug.us, but where you could post a license plate number and say what an asshole somebody is, just to be able to vent. I'm decent at HTML but don't have the time to code something that complex (to me anyways). But if someone wants to collaborate, I'll pay for the domain and webspace. (dleemundy1@hotmail.com)

can't wait to be the first to sue you when someone gets revenge via info from your site for my driving, which is horrible and bound to be reported to such a site...

What would you sue for? I mean the legal basis for your suit. I guess it'd have to be some sort of tort action. Defamation maybe? As a lawyer, I can't really think of anything that would stick. That being said, if you or anyone else can think of feasible grounds for legal action, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

I dunno, I'd kinda like to see a neatly compiled list of everyone I have pissed off on the road =] They probably deserved it anyway!

i think that would be a great idea. Report all the people driving 50 in a 60 done while in the fast lane.
