Food prices in FFX

A skirt steak at Giant Food costs around $11. I watch Guys Grocery Games on the Food Network and they pay $2.50 for one. What is up with that?

Come on. NOBODY believes stuff just because they see it on TV.

Why you buying skirt steak? Go for the good stuff like a tenderloin.

Unless you have culinary skills that are beyond the sorts and levels that right-wing goober-derps can actually aspire to, it would be best not to invest in tenderloin except at an upscale eatery. Let the prep skills match the meat. Go ahead and grill all the filler dogs and 73/27 ground beef burgers you want at home, but leave it to the pros to handle the good stuff.

Liberal goobers buy their meat retail, often frozen or recently thawed, saving money by shopping at Aldie and Shoppers. They then fry it up in the fastest and simplest way. It's part of their mentality. Conservatives appreciate the value of a good piece of beef from places such as Wegmans, or more likely, Springfield Butcher or the Meat House. Conservatives tend to grill their meats over a flame, after applying a combination of marinade and spices, subtle enough to bring out the best texture and taste of a quality beef selection. Conservatives are also more likely to buy buffalo, elk, and venison.

If you go to Fair Oaks, you can get an upskirt steak for free.

Why anyone would buy tenderloin is beyond me...there is no marbling and, therefore, no real flavor. If you want something that tastes like a steak and doesn't cost an arm and a leg try hanger or flat iron. Springfield Butcher has 2-3 pound hanger steaks for around $10/pound and it is one of best things that you can put on the grill. It is an odd looking piece of meat, but they will cut it into 6-8 ouunce portions.

You can also go to Costco and get USDA Prime sirloin for less than $10/pound and these work our really nice on the grill if you do not overcook them. Heck, they even have USDA Choice ribeye, but the steaks are bit on the large size for a typical weeknight dinner.

Of course, anyone who comes here for cooking tips is a lost cause anyway...

This area is expensive to live in period.
Example: Food prices at gorcery stores in the Pheonix, AZ area are half or less than half of the going prices in FFX county.
