I think that the trend in Great Falls is that Asians and Indians really follow the school rankings, and gravitate to Langley due to it's ranking. Langley is one of the only (the only?) HS in FCPS that has no multi-family dwellings feeding into it. But....there is an awful lot of Great Falls housing that was built 1960 - 1980 - these are not McMansions by any stretch, and a lot are old and in need of renovation, and run of the mill white buyers want something that looks like the Pottery Barn catalog. But the Asians and Indians don't care about that - they'd live in a mud hut if it had good schools, so they move into those old houses and just deal with the ancient furnishings to get into a good school. Funny thing is that the western half of Great Falls is likely to go back to Herndon High soon, which is where it started in the when Herndon HS opened in the late 60's. So all that planning will leave them in a school full of MS-13.
