Annandale Road Farm

Does any one know what is the deal with the farm in the middle of a residental neighborhood over on Annandale Rd? What do they grow? Who runs it--I think it is Vietnamese. Where do they sell what they grow?

They hold a little market there sometimes, but I forget what I bought there, it was 3 or 4 years ago. It's run by Vietnemese, there are women working the grounds there who wear those pointy hats, kinda a trip!

That used to be one of the Meadows Farms locations. Not sure if it still is. The property is still owned by Merlin Meadows.

They have good stuff there: assorted fresh veggies, mustard greens, bitter melons, vine ripe tomatoes, pea shoots. You get the picture.

Reston has had (mostly organic) garden plots on Reston Parkway at Glade for years. Spring through Fall its one large garden plot with just about every vegetable you can imagine. Some of the gardeners sell their surplus.

Sorry, no funny tobacco.

For once, the BOS did something right in not re-zoning for development.
