do you remember when in the 90's they began saying NEWS might shut down and they started attacking the internet - because they were afraid no one would want them if everyone could broadcast ?

Yes and No. A really good thing that FFXU has going for it is... all the traffic is local! Well most of it. Lawyers commonly pay $3 - $5 per click on PPC platforms. You could easily rent out 2 banners up top for $600 - $800 each per month I have paid 5x+ that for forum banners (granted they had more traffic).
If I owned it I would rent banner spaces and leave it at that. If you really wanted to milk it there are plenty of advertising networks who don't care about racism or occasional adult images. At full potential FFXU could bring in $2k - $3k per month.

Not really. Just move some of the crap threads from FFXU general over to off-topic is all the moderation needed. Some SEO, bringing back features such as embedding, fix the arrest search, and maybe add a couple features would be all that is needed.

I offered him $15k he turned it down, he probably thought I was just trolling or he really isn't interested. My offer still stands.
