Going hourly rate for day laborer? (Snow Shoveling)

There is a 7/11 a couple miles from my house full of day laborers. I'm too high to shovel snow so I want to hire a Mexican.

How much should I pay them per hour? I'm thinking $8 - $10 per hour. Should be a 2 hour job tops.

How do you plan to get to 7/11?

2 hours? 50 - 100 dollars.

Die.

I have a jeep wrangler, and there really isn't that much snow out there.

I will be providing the shovel too.

$50 - $100 for 2 hours? I said shoveling not roofing.

$20 sounds about fair for 2 hours of shoveling.

Anyone else know?

Exactly. You really didn't think this through. If you can get out of your driveway to go pick them up. you don't need shoveling. Idiot.

If you only pay them 10 bucks an hour for shoveling out your drive, they will come back next week when your sorry ass is at work and clean you out.

You deserve it.

You said you are too HIGH to shovel so you are going to DRIVE to the 7/11 to order up some amigos to shovel for you. Great. If you kill a member of my family I will make sure you rot in jail.

Back around 1980-85 me and my friend charged $15 a driveway to the door, and $20 for the sidewalk in front too. We had many takers and were never accused of being too expensive. We cleared over $100 each every day. Good money for kids not old enough to drive.
