Fairfax GOP will hold primary on June 9, 2015 for the Office of Sheriff. Winner will run against scandal plagued Democrat Stacey Kincaid. Names mentioned by GOP insiders as candidates are former GOP nominee Bryan Wolfe, who lost a close election to Kincaid in 2013. Also mentioned is Purvis Dawson, a respected former Captain in the county Police Department who once ran a close election against Gerry Hyland in the Mt Vernon district. With all the troubles swirling around the Sheriff's Office right now, the GOP sees this office as suddenly in play. Should be interesting.

You are a loser, unions and do nothings have to go. There is no place in the future for your kind. The county board of supervisors will make it very clear in the coming days, law suits and not cooperating with the BOS will not be tolerated.

Fairfax may be "blue" but it is also full of smart folks who know when BS is being thrown their way. The current administration in the Office of Sheriff is doing just that. Those editorials from the Washington Post, the articles from WAMU radio-and editorials, those are Democratic friendly outlets. They want to know why this Sheriff is not forthcoming with information about a violent death in her jail. WAMU notes how the Sheriff was not even forthcoming with a copy of the POLICY governing the use of Tasers. Add to that what is almost certainly going to be the public revulsion-and outcry- when that tape of the incident is broadcast. Oh and it will be at some point. See most law enforcement will see the video and say "Oh!" The public will see it and say "Oh my God!!" They will not believe the violence being shown, brought by five or six big guys in full armor, on a small mental woman.That will be a game changer.It will go from being a local story to one shown and talked about on Nancy Grace, MSNBC, and CNN. Tonight the county BOS is creating a panel to oversee police incidents of this nature. They may also ask for two county attorneys to resign over the handling of the Geer case with the PD. This is not going away for Sheriff Kincaid any time soon. On top of that you may have top level staff in that agency leaking stuff because they do not like her. A perfect storm in an election year, with trust me, more to come.
