Are you REALLY successful?
Posted by: Self Worth ()
Date: February 11, 2015 03:55PM

What's your definition of success?

Is it how much money you make, what kind of cars you own, what the value of your home is or how much your clothes cost?

If you base your self worth on any of those things then let me tell you that you are worthless.

True success comes from being happy with yourself, your life and what you have personally accomplished without feeling the need to look down on others for what they are doing differently than you.

Can you honestly say you do that? The average person cannot. Everyone judges but hates to be judged.

Why do billionaires blow their heads off on their million dollar yachts but homeless people are so willing to stay alive?

I like this. Robin Williams is a good example. But I don't know the answer. Sure money can't buy happiness so what is happiness? We all judge, no matter how much good you're doing, someone will always find something wrong with it.

So, are you happy? If so, besides the things that you have just listened are you happy about?

To be honest, I was happier as a regular folk. I was never poor, just average.

Mo money mo problems, shit was a lot simpler when I was just a 9-5 Joe.

It's lonely at the top.

That being said, I stay humble and I'm happy. If you saw me you would never know I'm a high net worth individual.

False analogy. What about the homeless people who die because of their self imposed condition? Isn't that a form of suicide? Billionaires probably have an inflated sense of self worth or a form of narcism anyways, which probably makes them depressed when things don't go right.

Of course the answer is Success is more than just defined by networth but other things in life too.

Avoid stress. I have deliberately underachieved all my life to avoid stress and have free time. I'm happy most of the time but it does suck to not have a lot of money in a high income area. I have a brother who is a multi-millionaire and he works 24-7. It's never enough. Obsessed with more more more. Takes one 2-week vacation a year other than that it's all work. He's actually pretty miserable most of the time. But he doesn't have any money worries. Each to their own.

There was no analogy, just a very simple yet thought provoking question. Of course homeless people kill themselves too and are very self destructive but they actually seem to have more willpower than said wealthy individuals.

Just look at all the suicides we have here in Fairfax, especially with our youth. Wealthy places tend to have more suicides over places where poverty runs rampant. It's pretty interesting.

Success isn't measured by money is all.

That's fine, the truth hurts sometimes. I've lived here my entire life and as "successful" as we all are, most people here just aren't happy with one thing or another.

Thirty-five-year-old Jonathan Wraith — a young British millionaire by virtue of selling his and his father’s portable cabin business for £30 million ($46 million) — was by all accounts a happy and well-adjusted young man. However, in 2009 he picked up his shotgun and shot himself, leaving no suicide note. No clear reason could be found for Wraith’s action.

I think if you're still alive and have your freedom despite everything that is going on with our world and economy then you're pretty successful. It's understandable to be depressed or anxious during these times and if you aren't depressed or anxious then you're dead.

You may misjudge your brother. Most people who exhibit his symptoms work because they love their work. Do what you love, the money will find you. This is very important advice for young people to consider.

A new study from the San Francisco Federal Reserve concludes that people who earn less money than their neighbors are more likely to commit suicide than their counterparts earning the same income in a less wealthy neighborhood.

Given two people earning the same income, the person living in the county with a higher average income was found to be 4.5 percent more likely to commit suicide than.

I'm not claiming to be a billionaire now.

There are more than 40,000 suicides in the US every year. How many of them are millionaires? So few that when it happens, it makes headlines.

Depressed and anxious are not normal. Those who are persistently in such a state should seek help from a professional. There are many resources out there. Call and get better.

You better not depend on money to make you happy.

You can be a millionaire and not be able to do shit when you retire. Forget buying a new car or a nice vacation. You need to keep at least one million dollars in your retirement fund to generate a measly, taxable $50,000 a year.

That's according to FOX News lying about what the government says. It's what they do. Their job after all is not to inform you, but to scare you.

If anything this guy says about his wealth is true, money sure as fuck can't buy happiness.

You don't know what happiness is, little boy. Or money. With your skills and attitude problems, I seriously doubt that you will ever have much of either.

You all sound like a bunch of Muslims just entering the country. The only thing money buys is a trip to hell. But don't lose your head over it.

You think you know what you're doing, well, that don't mean a thing. It's all in the past now, money changes everything. Money changes everything.

I am successful. I own a mattress store in Vienna Virginia, and I have a 12 inch penis.

I'm in the one percent and to be honest I still feel the same as I've always felt. I just happen to have a bigger house and nicer cars than I used to, and I'm also able to save and invest a lot more of my income than I used to. I think the only perk is you get more attention from women (especially women that did not marry well, women around here like to trade up), but I'm married myself so I can't do anything about it anyway.

Check out one of the fine mattress stores in Vienna Virginia for a great price on new affordable bedding. Under 50K No problem.

Only dismal failures are stuck with that oh, so strained and worn-out Vienna mattress store material. Not clever, not funny, not even accurate. Just another marker for stupid.

No happy people live in NoVa; its where all the failures in life go to get old & die.
