Why is Vienna Virginia so loaded with mattress stores? Is there something Vienna has that say Fairfax doesn't......Wondering.

Why complain that there are four mattress stores in the span of three blocks? Why not complain about the number of restaurants? Is it bad that Potbelly, Zoe's Kitchen and Chopt all just decided to come to Vienna? No, it speaks to the vitality of the area.

I love the way that the chairman of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce puts down his martini and stumbles to the keyboard to rise to the defense of Vienna...as reliable as clockwork.

Bed-bug infestation. Check for the tiny red bite marks usually evident on the face and arms of the next Vienna resident you encounter.

The reason Vienna has so many mattress stores is because they don't have any upline burger shops.

Who is complaining about the plethora of mattress choices. Without the mattress stores, Vienna would be nothing! A few casual ho-hum national chains does not exactly make me beam with pride, but our mattress stores are another thing altogether!

Do you know what are in some of those nondescript unmarked warehouses at the end of Mill St.? The ones where Caboose Brewery wants to open? Think about it.

Having such an abundance of available mattresses makes Vienna perfect for a Northern Virginia mass orgy.

It is ironic that you would use the term "upline" when Vienna has an Elevation Burger. Is that "lofty" enough for you?

Vienna residents enjoy making love as much as anyone. We just choose to remain faithful to one partner.

I love Vienna, only place I can get a mattress and a rub and tug at the same time from one of the local Viet rub and tug joints. When I'm finished, I go to the Vienna Inn, get a slut, and end the night at the Vienna Inn.

Despite the name, the Vienna Inn does not offer accommodations. Perhaps your "story" actually took you to the Wolf Trap Hotel.

See...that was why what I said was funny. Because there ARE upline burger shops in Vienna. In fact, there might be MORE upline burger shops in Vienna that there are mattress stores.

It would only make sense. Fatties who eat a lot of burgers wear out their mattresses sooner.

It hurts doesn't it?

To know that 123 is just a slightly up-scale Rt. 1 with a higher density of mattress stores.

Is that the best you can do? Ride your scooter from the Cedar Lane Apartments to the Marco Polo restaurant, chill out, have a glass of chianti, and try to type something a bit more original.

Route 1 in Hybla Valley has three mattress stores rather than four. Is that your big zinger? Next time, check the difference in per-capita income.

Who knows off the top of their head how many mattress stores are in a certain area? (Unless we are talking about Vienna which is obviously famous for its number of mattress stores.)

I bought a Sleep Number bed 9 years ago and it is still like new...should last another ten years. Every night it's like a brand new bed and I can change the firmness to suit my mood or condition. More and more folks are switching and as the demand for innerspring mattresses dwindles these stores will have to close.
No doubt to reopen as Hookah parlors.

You might check around the intersection of Lee Highway and 236 in Fairfax. They have more than enough mattress stores to satisfy you right there.

Yes, that cluster in and around Kamp Washington is mighty impressive. The Sleepy's at Fairfax Court would seem to be just inches outside the line, but Fairfax City still has nine mattress outlets, giving it 1.44 per square mile. Of course, that includes two (Bif and Haverty's) that are really more like furniture stores, but even without them, Fairfax City would weigh in at 1.12 mattress stores per square mile, a certainly noteworthy total.

But for real-deal mattress store overcrowding, just head over to the home of overcrowding -- Falls Church. They have a Sumo wrestler-like total of 1.38 outright mattress stores per square mile. More than Fairfax City, 50% more than Vienna, and likely the highest mattress store density in the area. It's a wonder there's room left over in Falls Church for all those spas and salons.

LOL! "West" has one syllable. "Vienna" has three. "Country" Has two syllables. "Congested" has three. Your meter-fucking efforts earn you a musical "F". You can put it up on the mantle next to all the others.

Meanwhile, only west county goobers get bogged down trying to traverse Vienna. Boondocks to Tysons in the morning, then back to the boondocks again at night. what a sorry, sorry existence! Can't even call it a life!

Those among the wise and well-off enough to be from the Vienna area of course know the in's and out's around here and simply don't involve themselves in that sort of nightmare. Sucks to be you guys, I guess.

Wise and well-off is the key combination. You don't much wantpeople around who are dumb enough to pay a million bucks for a house on one-seventh of an acre. My shed would barely fit on that.

The simple facts are that Falls Church is the leading mattress store center in Northern Virginia. Hands down. No one can or will compete with 1.38 mattress stores per square mile. That number is in a league of it's own.

Falls Church City is otherwise just a dusty, decaying, overcrowded burg that is every day losing ground to the sparkling new and far better appointed communities to the west. Not to mention all the glitz of Ballston to the east, or the fact that the new Tysons itself is but a quick Silver Line ride away. Falls Church, in a word, is toast.

We get it. You hate all that raw data that shows Falls Church to me a more prosperous, well to do location with far greater potential than any outside the beltway shithole. Your opinion isn't supported by facts or anything more than butthurt envy.

You need to look no further than their location. Behind all the unmarked rolling garage doors on that strip are piles of mattresses. If a successful business goes in there what do you think that will do to rents the mattress kingpins pay to store their excess inventory?

P.G. County has a greater concentration of liquor stores per square mile than Vienna has mattress stores.

I don't see restaurant variety as a bad thing as long as they're not shitty
Why so many mattress stores though?

Bogus and unoriginal. Let me assure you simply as a much, much smarter person than yourself, that the future does not lie with Meat in a Box any more than it did with Karaoke Idol. Falls Church is dying a little more each day. There is not room for more people even if there were more people who wanted to move there. Your product has been passed by. Your price-point is now FAR from attractive. The writing is on what will soon be a West Arlington wall.

No hate. Just a good look at the actual history. Greer and McLaughlin simply have no depth or experience. They are like a couple of high school kids off on a lark. As the result, mistakes have been made, deadlines have been missed, opportunities have been lost, and progress on the whole plan has slowed to a crawl. It's nothing personal here. Lots of those who set out to open their own place one day fail at it. That's just how it goes sometimes. Hopefully, these two can somehow rally and get their act together at some point. But things are not looking all that good at the moment.

Did you know that household income in Vienna was greater than Falls Curch in 2000? In a mere 15 years, Falls Church has raced by Vienna in terms of affluence. Vienna is the one withering on the vine. It's a mere speed bump on the way to Tysons for those who live even further outside the beltway than those in Vienna.

Meat in a Box is actually among the top-rated restaurants in Falls Church. That's in part because the selection of eateries there has crumbled just as rapidly as the rest of the place. Nobody goes to Falls Church to eat. People who are already in Falls Church leave and go someplace else. There are so many better alternatives elsewhere.

Hahaha! Yes, these west county goobers are quite a hoot. With its curves, dead-ends, and cul-de-sacs, the Town of Vienna has for 60 years kept the through-trafficker wannabes off its neighborhood streets, penning them up on 123 or shunting them off onto bypass routes that never enter Vienna at all.

> A price point that keeps going up and up and up.
> Obviously people don't share your moronic opinion.

Homes have little value in Falls Church. It is LAND that has best-use value as serial overcrowding has pushed population densities to Arlington-like levels. That best-use increasingly is in high-rise and other high-density development. Nobody wants to pay big bucks for cramped quarters jammed so close to each other that the only views are of pavement in one direction and the neighbor's trash cans in all the others.

The code? That is not going to protect you at all, asshole. What was once done in response to the pleas of one monied interest will simply be undone at the behest of another. You need to grow up a little here. If you did, you would quickly recognize the simple fact that Falls Church is transitioning away from what it once was. Ballston, Baileys Crossroads, and Tysons are in the process of swallowing it up. There's no stopping it now. Say goodnight, Gracie.

Fairfax Station is far more advanced with greater education per capita, and income at the top of the scale. Wrap your head around that stat.

Oakton has how much high-density, transit-oriented development? What kind of walkability scores does Oakton have in comparison to Arlington's? Plainly put, Arlington today -- much like Falls Church in the very near future -- is not at all what has been traditionally thought of as a suburban setting.

Oakton is still a suburban setting, and though lacking in any form of local government, it is buffered on one side by Vienna and may have a shadow-chance to remain in its present state for a good while. Problematic may be the presence of Falls Church City on the other side.

Same can be said for Vienna. Unless you think those algae covered ramblers on/off Tapawingo, Kingsley, etc are holding all the value. LOL. You have no clue what you're talking about. You've been destroyed at every turn.

Read this again, and let it sink in:

Household income in Vienna was greater than Falls Curch in 2000. In a mere 15 years, Falls Church has raced by Vienna in terms of affluence.

That, my imbecilic idiot, is what shows Vienna in decline with respect to Falls Church. It's a fact, not an opinion. Vienna is falling behind day after day, year after year. The numbers prove it and you can't refute them, you'll just come on here with more of your nonsense and bullshit. Watch, you'll prove me right in no time.

You don't depend on any stores at all. There are none there. You have to go somewhere else for everything. Might as well be some gated community. Nothing there but row after row of SFH's and a barely noticeable population density of 1,323 per square mile.

Pssst... That's why people choose to live there. Not everyone wants to live in an overcrowded pseudo-semi-urban setting with houses packed together, a Rt. 1-like traffic corridor in the middle, and mattress stores on 4 corners.

Your walkability bs also is bs. You nor much of anyone else actually walks to do shit in Vienna anyway.

There are nine million-dollar homes in the first block of Kingsley Road west of Park Street. These are all in "Vienna Woods" -- the supposed "bad section" of town. Yet every one of them sits on a larger lot than "Falcon's Nest", the premier Falls Church property lately on the market.

Because the only buyers for these aging, cramped, and overpriced dumps are investors and flipper wannabes hoping to cash in on the impending collapse of Falls Church as an SFH-based suburban community.

See, you did prove me right! And, as predicted, it was nonsense and bullshit. While Falcon's Nest is but one $1M+ home on the market in Falls Church, there are plenty of other new construction homes in the same price range. More pesky facts getting in your way.

It's no wonder you're out of your league here though, you apparently think Falls Church shares a border with Oakton. Another typo? LOL!

Coming from someone rooted in Vienna who can't see beyond Tysons, that is rich. Vienna, Falls Church, Tysons, Mosaic District, North Arlington, etc. as stand alone entities do not matter. It is all part of Northern Virginia, which itself is tied to the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. If it weren't for the larger whole, each of those wonderful enclaves would whither and die.

There was a time when some of these hamlets actually did mean something. They were where you went if you needed something beyond what your local strip shopping centre provided. Those days are pretty much over. Some of these hamlets (including Vienna) no longer have some of those necessary stores. Meanwhile much of what those hamlets do have can readily be found elsewhere.

There may be reasons that you prefer to park your butt in one part of the region rather than another. If you have found a spot that strikes the right balance for you, then great. Just understand though that what is right for you isn't going to be what others are looking for.

No, it was more immutable facts that you are once again choking on. You don't have a fucking clue as to what "west county" means, for instance. All you racked up there was more dumbass-points.

> While Falcon's Nest is but one $1M+ home on the market

LOL! Falcon's Nest was lately the largest million-dollar property on the market in the City of Falls Church, yet that lot is smaller than ALL NINE of the million dollar homes that exist in a single block of a single street in what passes as Vienna's "poor side of town". That is because a new road and four new houses were stuffed into the side and back yards of historic Falcon's Nest in a give-away to local developers intent on leveling the Falls Church of old and squeezing more and more people into what has already become a dying and depressingly over-saturated city. Arlington, here we come.

Obviously. Any idea what auto-complete is? And were you seriously too dumb to have realized on your own that it should have been Fairfax City? That's really stupid. Something that would happen only in someone utterly lacking any credible intellectual capacity or function at all. Someone like you, I guess.

Oh everyone knew what you intended to type, but are laughing at your continual case of spewing diarrhea all over yourself.

You do realize that smaller lots with a higher price tag means they are more desirable, correct? Maybe not to an idiot like you, but to anyone with half a brain cell.

Here, go ahead. You get the last word. Seeing you flounder around in your diarrhea stained bed has been entertaining enough for one day. Besides, I'm off for another long weekend. You'll be floundering about FFXU all weekend, of course.

LOL! I don't live in, work in, vote in, or have any relatives in or other sorts of allegiance to Vienna at all. It is merely one of the places that I often go to shop and dine, this because the Town offers so much more in terms of shopping and dining than other places in the area. Tonight though I'll be going beyond Tysons and into the District for dinner with a colleague. That 10% meals tax is no object to me!

LOL! Others are not looking for what I have primarily because it is out of their price range. They'll need to go settle for something they can afford. But that has nothing to do with the dumbass lies that the worthless fucking goobers here are apt to tell on a continuing basis. They deserve to get their lowly asses reamed out for that.

Did somebody say diarrhea stained bed?

Well, get rid of that dirty old bed and come over to Vienna, where the streets are paved with mattresses, and you'll find a king's ransom of new bedding!

For the young, or just the young at heart, Vienna is the place to go for your sleepytime needs!

Like someone, anyone, no one, and nobody, everyone is always singular. "Everyone is" is correct. "Everyone are" is not.

And you are the only one here who is playing the ignorant dumbfuck card. That's your special gift. Getting your sorry ass whomped yet again on the facts leaves you no choice but to divert off into the weeds over some completely irrelevant typo. This is an entirely ineffectual tack, serving only to mark you as an even worse and more pathetic asshole than ever.

To investors and potential flippers who have interest in the land and what might be done with it as the curtain comes down on Falls Church as any sort of suburban SFH-based community.

I know all you envy-and-butthurt types like to keep up with these sorts of things, so I'll note that we ended up at Jaleo (7th and E, NW) last night for a bunch of yummy small plates and a refreshing pitcher of white sangria. Particularly good were the fisherman's soup, the chorizo with mashed potatoes, and the ham and chicken croquettes. Yum! Individual plates run $10-15 and you're likely to do three or four per person. The grilled pork tenderloin with roasted apples was $32. I think that's the top end price-wise, but it wasn't really a standout item. Safe to skip. Anyway, very nice time, and Jaleo is a warm, cozy, friendly place -- perfect for a very chilly evening. Hope the rest of you were able to enjoy opening a can of Beefaroni.

Exactly. One may find gustatorial satisfaction in many locales, but for mattresses there is only one Vienna.

Looks like Long-Weekender has skied himself into a Killington tree and is lying in a coma at some clinic in rural Vermont while awaiting transport to an actual hospital. So much safer at Jaleo. On the bright side, assuming he survives, the accident cannot have made him any dumber.

Why can't those trees be covered with some sort of padding --- a mattress, if you will?

Not so much in Falls Church. Unless you are one who enjoys "Meat in a Box". By the way, gustatory is already an adjective. There's no need to go all irregardless over it.

> ...but for mattresses there is only one Vienna.

Excuse me, but there is no MATTRESS TRADITIONS store anywhere in Vienna. You must come over to Falls Church for that. Falls Church may not be the place to go for food, but we are the place to go for the finest in mattresses. Not even Fairfax City can surpass the famous 1.38 mattress stores per square mile that Falls Church has to offer.

Aww. Looks like someone is a bit obsessed with me. You resurrected a dead thread because you are so obsessed.

Also, where did I indicate I went to Killington this past weekend. Oh, I didn't, you're dead wrong again. Big surprise there.

Oh, and what is this the year 2000? Jaleo has been on the downswing for the past ten years.

On a final note, auto complete does not complete two words, so your lame excuse that auto complete filled in Falls Church for Fairfax is just as much bullshit as the rest of your lies. You're feeble mind must have thought you were pulling one over on people.

You really should find some other interests in your life besides me. You clearly get lonely when I don't post. If I didn't find your stupidity hilarious, I might actually pity you.

Yes, gustatory is an adjective, but so in gustatorial. The two are synonymous, just as Vienna and mattress are synonymous.

Right. I just threw that out in memory of how badly your last phony "long weekend" story blew up in your face. Law school chums and all.

> Jaleo has been on the downswing for the past ten years.

How would you know? You've never been there. You've never actually been much of anywhere. Google defines the boundaries of your experiences, even in the local area. But I was waiting at the Verizon store earlier today, and a tech and another customer were coincidentally talking about how great Jaleo is. I don't know about great, but like the Vienna Inn, it's quite a comfortable place to meet and chat with friends and associates that also provides excellent food and drink.

It completes from entries that are stored in a list. If Falls Church is the first "Fa" entry in the list, that's what you'll get when you type "Fa".

You still sticking with that line of bullshit? Why not, I suppose. You stand by all your lies and bullshit. That's not actually how it works, but you can pretend it does. In any event, even if you were telling the truth, "Fai" comes before "Fal." You should learn how the alphabet works.

I suppose they are the same to you as both are capable of decimating you with little to no effort.

> LOL! It's your delirious envy and butthurt that

Envious? Of what? Let's see....

You live OUTSIDE the beltway - yeah, definitely not envious of that. You settled for an out of the way property. Don't worry, you're not alone there.

You lack a garage - No envy there. This morning, I got into my car sans wearing a coat. If you decide to venture out today, you'll be shivering your pathetic ass off because you have a cheap roof attached to your hovel. Carports by their very nature are for those who don't want to spend cash on a garage.

You're wasting away your retirement years in Fairfax posting on Fairfax Underground - Not a bit envious of that pathetic existence.

You suffer from Asperger's syndrome - Nope, I don't envy that.

You're impotent - Do you think people envy that?

You're a completely addled moron - I certainly don't envy that. No matter how many times you scream "typo" you know it really boils down to you being a complete idiot.

You're so out of shape, you can't even play a round of golf - Is that something to be envious of?

You're the laughing stock of many a people - Not envious of that.

The list goes on and on.

In short, there is absolutely nothing about your life that anyone with a modicum of success in this area has anything to be envious of. You're pathetic. You're a troll. Just ask your kids. Oh, wait......

Those are curious statistics. Do Vienna residents simply wear out their mattresses more quickly (and if so, why)? Do outsiders flock to Vienna to buy mattresses?

Go to any of Vienna's fine mattress stores today and you will find a friendly informed sales staff, and freshly shoveled sidewalks to gain access to the store.

Vienna is simply wealthier than those other municipalities. Ergo, the cars are newer, the wives are hotter, and the mattresses are newer.

It might have been back in the day, but it's been headed downhill for a good while now. Old, small, dusty, and cramped, with no real places to shop or eat? It's not really a slum yet, but it is getting to be more and more like some of the areas along the eastern parts of Columbia Pike.

Fall Church City's high school (George Mason) blows the doors off Vienna's high school (James Madison). You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

You've never been to Jaleo. Not in 2008, not at any time. It's no different from the many other locales and eateries you've claimed to have been to based on nothing more than having googled them. It's envy and butthurt that drive you in desperation to make these transparently false claims.

Merely interesting to note that at the very moment you were trying (for reasons noted above) to slam Jaleo, random people who had actually eaten there were speaking well of it. All part of how totally out of touch with reality your fictional little world is.

That's exactly how it works, dumbo, and unlike Falls Church, Fairfax has never been added to the list. The software hasn't done it and I haven't done it.

Excellent illustrations of the ways in which words such as "desperate", "butthurt", and "delusional" apply to you. I hope you at least went to lie down after typing all that. Long-term of course, you should be discussing these issues with your shrink.

Yes. They are also wrong. Just as the earlier income claims turned out to be. As was pointed out earlier in the thread, Fairfax City has either 7 or 9 mattress outlets, depending on whether Bif and Haverty's are included. Each of those does sell bedroom sets and mattresses, but they are not primarily mattress stores. But with a 2013 estimated population of 23,973, that means that Fairfax City has either 1 mattress store for every 3,425 residents or one for every 2,664 residents. The 4,800 number was just another example of goober-stupid.

Just to start with, the post above suggests that Census found at least two dozen area communities that have a higher median household income that Falls Church City. Kind of undermines your claim, as I don't think I'd be taking your word over that of the Census Bureau.

Further, Trulia reports that the average list price for homes recently put on the market in 22046 (Falls Church) was $758,528, while over in 22180 (Vienna) it was $1,030,687.

And by the way, high real estate taxes are not much to bragging over, but truth be told, the ones in the Town of Vienna are in fact higher than the ones in the decaying City of Falls Church.

Of course it does. Which is why if you have two identical houses on the same block one in Fairfax County and one in Falls Church City, the Falls Church City home will command a higher price. It also doesn't hurt that nearly 75% of Falls Church's population has at least a Bachelor's degree while Vienna is hovering around 65%.

George Mason is basically a one-room schoolhouse. Four full grades and maybe 750 students on a good day. James Madison is meanwhile run by FAIRFAX COUNTY, not the Town of Vienna. Nice job of screwing that basic fact up.

Nice job of erecting a straw man. The Town of Vienna is in the James Madison catchment area. That means Madison is indeed Vienna's high school.

What does the census say about per capita income?

Like Census bureau statistics? See below.

What do you think census quick facts says about housing values of Falls Church vs. Vienna.

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/51/5127200.html

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/51/5181072.html

You take the word of the census bureau, right?

Rate might be negligibly higher - somewhere around a penny, but when you factor in a property that is on average $55K+ more, that penny on the rate disappears rather quickly.

Then there is always the more educated populace and superior schools.

You are keeping busy trying to cover up your initial logical mistake. The fact remains that residents of the Town of Vienna send their progeny to James Madison (motto: Garbage in, garbage out). Since your own little acorns did not fall far from the tree, it is clear why Madison is as it is.

Hahaha! Seven figures with lots of room to spare. That includes the five-figure stick-built cypress shed of course. Much larger than average lot with stunning natural and man-made features, if I do say so myself. With the leaves on the trees, I cannot see my neighbor's house, much less his trash cans. Just the grass and the trees and the birds and the bees and the flowers and the wildlife, and all with the stream gurgling away in the background. It's not quite Koloa here, but it's pretty close.

You can get a delectable chicken salad sandwich at the new Potbelly's in Vienna:

Potbelly Chicken Salad is made fresh in shop with our simple recipe: all-natural chicken, celery salt, chopped celery, just the right amount of mayo, salt and pepper.

Don't try to eat the chili dogs from The Vienna Inn on or near your Vienna purchased mattress as you might cause an unsightly stain due to the drippage.

Let's review for the dimwitted (you).

What was your supposition? Because you are probably too stupid to find it or remember it, here it is:

"It might have been back in the day, but it's been headed downhill for a good while now. Old, small, dusty, and cramped, with no real places to shop or eat? It's not really a slum yet, but it is getting to be more and more like some of the areas along the eastern parts of Columbia Pike."

Every economic and demographic indicator does in fact point in the exact opposite direction of your absurdly stupid supposition. What the demographic and economic indicators in another town/city/CDP say are irrelevant to your idiotic statement. They have no bearing whatsoever on whether a locality is going "downhill" or not.

But let's look at Falls Church as compared to say, I don't know, Vienna. In 2000, Falls Church had a household income of around $75,000 compared to Vienna's $84,000 - difference of $9K for our mathematically challenged friend. In 2010, that difference was reduced to a little bit less than $7K with Falls Church coming in at $120,000 and Vienna at $126,941. In 2000, 63.7% of Falls Church's residents had at least a Bachelor's degree compared to 57.2% of Vienna's. By 2010, Falls Church jumped more than 10 percentage points to 74.4%. Vienna was at 57.2% in 2000 and grew to 64.8% by 2010. Congrats Vienna, you have slightly a slightly higher percentage of residents with at least a Bachelor's than Falls Church did 10 years ago. Meanwhile, the per capita income and housing values of Falls Church are greater than in Vienna.

Communities heading "downhill" don't become more educated and more wealthy over time. In fact, it's the exact opposite and even a simpleton recognizes that very simple fact. So yes, every economic and demographic indicator points to your supposition as pure bunk.

> As we learned earlier, the buyers for these aging,
> cramped, and overpriced dumps are investors and

Well, you stated that earlier, but as we've just found out, you're assumptions and assertions are dead wrong. You must know very little about land use and zoning to think that the large cranes in Falls Church's commercial corridor will soon be found in it's SFH neighborhoods. In fact, those cranes along the commercial corridor will do nothing but increase the value of the homes in the SFH neighborhoods, pricing you even further out.

You keep harping on that point even though no one has disputed it. (Perhaps the problem is your perspicacity or lack thereof.) You just do not want to face up to the incontrovertible fact that the public high school attended by residents of Fall Church City outperforms the one attended by residents of the Town of Vienna. No amount of obscurantism (or puerile posting) on your part will change that fact.

In case there are any lingering doubts about whether Vienna is Mattress Mecca, know that James Madison High School once held a mattress sale fundraiser.

It is said that in Vienna, the worth of a child-bride is measured in how many memory-foam mattresses she has in her dowery.

I'd guess that their little hearts are being kept warm and cozy as they bask in the warmth and glow emitted by so grand a display of transparent butthurt on the part of The Asshole and his pathetically flat and formless alter egos. Their crumblage here was quite a sight to behold. Joshua and his trumpets could scarcely have done worse damage.

Blown up on household income. Blown up on Jaleo. Blown up on auto-complete. Blown up on mattress stores in Fairfax City. Blown up on FCC tax rates. Blown up on economic and demographic indicators. Blown up on County schools and their attendance areas. Then there was another phony beat-a-retreat "long weekend" plus the dissonant stream of dissociative attempts at insult. Outside the Beltway? Carports? Remote locations? Asperger's? Impotency? These are the deranged outbursts of a seriously warped and damaged mind. Fortunately I can say that none of this was any of my doing. This is exactly the way he was when first he began to run himself aground in these waters. Fail, fail, fail back then, and nothing but more fail, fail, fail ever since. You'd think he'd learn. But he doesn't.

No, I'll be sticking with the estate-grown Kona. It's just plain good. Sort of like the views from the club level at Nats Park.

What exactly do you deem appropriate to sell at a James Madison High School fundraiser? Should we only sell copies of the U.S. Constitution or the Federalist Papers?

Hahaha! You live in Falls Church and talk about unrefined palates? What a joke!. As noted, I lived in downtown Falls Church back when it was still some semblance of something, but even then, the handwriting was on the wall. Moved to McLean as soon as I could. From there, true enlightenment dawned.

> Congrats, you got a gift card to Trader Joes.

LOL! You've seen all this before, doofus, but I'll rub your pathetically ignorant nose in a few of the facts once again...

Estate-grown Kona sells for about $35 a pound and is typically available only from an estate directly, or through one of the combines that do catalog and on-line marketing on behalf of a group of participating estates. Estates of course are just individual farms in the officially established and regulated Kona region. There are about 600 such farms over this 20-mile stretch on the west side of the Big Island, but most are quite small, in many cases comprising just a few acres. Year-round availability from a single estate is not to be assumed.

Aside from price, there is certainly nothing that would prevent Trader Joe's from selling estate-grown Kona, but what they and most other outlets market is what they call their "Kona blend". The word "blend" here means at least 95% South and Central American coffees. There is no such thing as a $50 Rolex, and there is no such thing as a $12 pound of estate-grown Kona.

Sucks to be stupid, ergo sucks to be you.

It can be done, and you need not go to Vienna to simply buy a new bed.

Let us unpeel your staggering stupidity yet another time. It was stated above that there was nothing but price to keep Trader Joe's from selling estate grown Kona. It was stated that there no such thing as a $12 pound of estate-grown Kona. $19.99 for 13 ounces is $24.60 per pound. That's not the same as $12 per pound. You on the other hand are exactly the same as any old moron goober assfuck. No difference at all.

The lying dumbfuck from the dreary and declining dregs of Falls Church has never recovered well from having his lying sorry ass handed to him what are now dozens and dozens of times over. His resulting envy and butthurt drive him to a crazed and pointless pursuit of revenge that will never be his. He just makes a bigger and bigger ass of himself. Over and over and over again.

I see you are still feeling the sting of another beat down. Irregardless and irrespective of you using a silly and stupid word like unpeel, we'll simply focus on your stupidity in this thread. Addressing all your bullshit and stupidity in one post is way too much for anyone to want to read.

Clearly they market something more than just their Kona Blend. They offer 100% Kona coffee. Once again, you have been proven to be full of shit.

Which is more than $10/pound less than what you claimed it was. You were off by nearly 30%

Point to a single post where someone said Kona sold for $12/pound. Just one. Nobody made that contention. Ever.

Suppose you give us your take on ravel/unravel or shelled/unshelled. Or just admit that like so very many other things, your knowledge and understanding of the dimensions of actual English are very, very limited indeed.

Correct.

As was plainly noted as a possibility contingent on price.

> Which is more than $10/pound less than what you

Trader Joe's is not a leading purveyor of estate-grown Kona. The price of estate-grown Kona purchased in bulk from farms or combines of farms in Hawaii may change by a few dollars from month to month, but will turn out to be about $35 per pound over any recent time frame. I know this because I make such purchases on a regular basis. Others meanwhile claim like asses to drink Fazenda Santa Ines on a daily basis. Clueless.

I did, dummy. "There is no such thing as a $50 Rolex, and there is no such thing as a $12 pound of estate-grown Kona." Remember that or has the brain shut down yet again?

Seems like TJs has a better deal whether they're a leading purveyor or not. Your babbling now is irrelevant.

To which nobody contended anything differently. Your later repetition of your claim is meaningless as nobody contested it.

You don't think anyone's buying it this time around, do you? When you bump and give props to your own post, just how pathetic do you feel? Does it give you a momentary sense if satisfaction until the reality of just how miserable your existence is sinks in? You really are pitiful.

Here's what I'm buying. You fucked up once and got your ass kicked for it. Then you got it kicked two more DQ Bonus Wrap times. LOL! That's bad, bro, very bad. You've been tied up in knots here and baked like a pretzel. Cry over it all you like, but you lose.

Ummm, I'm not the one who used the stupid and silly word unpeel. That would be you. Then again you reap what you sew. Now get your old, impotent, aspie, pathetic ass over to TJs for some coffee.

I almost fell off my chair when I read "you reap what you sew." The expression has nothing to do with embroidery.

Me too. When our local dipshit aka Mr. Unpeel up there wrote it a while back, everyone had a good laugh at his expense. Even funnier was when he claimed it was a "typo." Now, he gets his face rubbed in that pile of dog shit for good measure.

Still butthurt? It's ok for you to give up after you've been so thoroughly humiliated! Settle in with a nice cup of TJs Kona.

Crammed? Hardly. Only a simpleton fool would use a hilariously foolish term like unpeel. In fact, educated people laugh at it. Unpeeled wasn't even used. It was "unpeel." It's as if you don't even understand common idioms.

As your own small horizons apparently keep you from seeing, I have no reason to be dissatisfied with current suppliers. I receive the best possible product at a price that makes no difference to me at all. As noted earlier, $35 per pound for coffee may be an easily affordable non-factor to some, but it may not be to others. Life is like that. The big fish may experience things differently from the way the little fish do. As I am again enjoying them on this brilliant sunlit morning, another example would of course be the panoramic pastoral views across a large and well-groomed property located outside the Beltway, as against the no-views-at-all characteristic of some cramped, dirty, and soon to be rezoned postage-stamp-sized plot as would be typical in the declining and decaying City of Falls Church. So it goes.

LOL! Had you been drinking or did you mean "more cheaply and more conveniently?"

Otherwise no, he once again made himself look smaller and smaller and more and more laughably insignificant. If you push him a little bit, the same thing will happen every time he posts. There is no substance there at all. He is the anti-Prell -- thin and watery, watery, watery. In the end, things will always collapse and degrade into his childish typo allegations -- these rather embarrassingly made only because he does not understand the principles of brain-hand communication and coordination that underlie the process of keyboarding. Or that the "O" is six keys away from the "E", for that matter. That counting thing is a big-time stumper for him as well. Such higher-order conceptual notions are of course from the domain of actual big people. He is sadly left on the outside looking in when it comes to such matters as he is really just a very little person through and through and through. Isn't he.

Seriously, Typo-turd? And what's the word "of" doing in that sentence anyway? Otherwise and as established above, "unpeel" is a perfectly valid and useful word, one that -- far from being moronic -- carries a suggestive and exotic air -- a la "undress" or "disrobe" -- that its kitchenesque counterpart "peel" does not carry at all. People who actually know how to write know how to take advantage of such subtle differences as well. Here by the way is a reminder that you didn't deal above with ANY tense or sense of the unpeel-unravel-unshell conundrum that was set before you. You simply ran away.

Mareaux, huh. It seems to me that you're just sipping on google yet again. Just another case of Fazenda Santa Ines. You see, while there are many fine coffees in the world, estate-grown Kona is my favorite, so that's what I drink all the time. A cup is sitting next to me right now. There are also many fine wines in the world, but you've never tasted any of them, which is why you don't actually have a favorite and instead have to go off and google some new varietal or other every time you want to lie about what you are drinking. These are the sorts of lame and clank-producing ways in which being a stupid fool ever trips you up and gets you into trouble.

Are you aware that there aren't enough words in the english language- hell, the entire lexicon of languages the world over- to describe how incredibly wrong this is.

Not only is it wrong in that it is ignorant, but in that it is so incredibly incorrect on a factual level. Holy fucking God, how stupid can a human being get?

In my life I've encountered people who have been unintelligent, yes- I've encountered my share of people who suffered from mental disabilities. People with downs syndrome, autism, and so on.

However, I have never once encounted somehow so stupid as to be capable of thinking something so unbelievably off-base. I didn't even think it possible that anyone in our plain of existence could ever even have the capacity for this level of idiocy

Try as you may, you continue to fail. Is undress the same as dress the way unpeel is the same as peel? No, so again, you fail.

No need to deal with it as it is hardly a conundrum to those with a basic understanding of the English language. As long as we are on those words, which appears in a common idiom?

Any variant of "losing a mouthful" is not to be taken literally any more that "having a snoot full" means that someone drank through his nose. Now, if you guys would just stop with the malapropisms, eggcorns, etc. ...

Yes, those guys are incredibly painful pedants. And those mistakes they make are equally painful. Anyone can make a mistake and write "your" in place of "you're" from time to time. But it takes a true wanker to write "you reap what you sew" or "plain of existence." That takes someone who is putting on airs but is in over his head.

As on so many, many prior occasions, you were unceremoniously dumped upon and buried alive, you guileless dumbass. You fell flat on both the existence and usefulness of the word "unpeel". You scored no points at all in this round. That sort of thing happens often when the pathetically stupid get all pretentious and act way too big for their starched little pre-school britches.

You have once again completely missed the point, moron! The comparison to undress and disrobe was to illustrate color and contextual differences that exist between the words peel and unpeel. This was clearly explained at the time, but apparently all that just went sailing right over your vapid little head.

> No need to deal with it as it is hardly a conundrum to those

As an across-the-board dumbshit, you have no basic understanding of anything.

Everyone is familiar with typos, bozo. As they are with the notion of how pathetically fucktarded it is to try to base criticism on them -- as in utter butthurt desperation, you so long, often, and sordidly have.

> Margaux is a new varietal?

No, mareaux is, you dumbass. Just rubbing your ever out-of-joint typo-turd nose in the fact that you don't actually know anything at all about wine and did not have any bottles of Margaux standing by when you claimed you did. Have you been to The Wine House in Fairfax City yet, oeneophyte?

If only it were Photoshopping. It's the real deal. If you'd ever used Photoshop, you'd know. On the other hand, if you had some vested interest in it being shopped, I can see why you'd claim as much.

Actually, there are mattress outlets everywhere. In particular, there are many more by number in Fairfax City and a many more by density in the dismal and decaying City of Falls Church --- which by the way is said by Census Quick Facts to rank behind all of Ashburn, Brambleton, Cascades, Dranesville, Dunn Loring, Fairfax Station, Floris, Fort Hunt, Franklin Farms, Gainesville, Great Falls, Kings Park West, Kingstowne, Lake Barcroft, Linton Hall, Lowes Island, Mantua, McLean, Montclair, Mount Vernon, Newington, Oakton, Purcellville, South Riding, Vienna, and Wolf Trap in the matter of Median Household Income, 2009-2013.

I never said it was a Chateau Margaux either. Only a Margaux. Go ahead, Google the difference. Not like you've got anything close in your cellar anyway.

For your reference because your too stupid to figure it ou on your own.

"I'm sipping on a Jordan with a Mareaux in reserve."

Where is the year mentioned? Chateau Margaux?

Face it. You lost, you envious lil bitch.

You said I had no bottles of Margaux standing by. I clearly do.

You fell for it twice in one thread. You've been completely rope-a-doped. You're the dope. A misspelled word here, a "your" instead of a "you're" there, and your hubris takes off. Then, thwack, you get your stupid, uninformed ass beaten beyond recognition.

More likely he asked some friend at Total Wines or wherever take that shot for him. Those are two nice bottles of wine alright -- particularly the Chateau Palmer -- but it's not like he himself has any idea about wines. Or about who's a regular at the German Gourmet, for that matter. Hahaha!

I don't think you can find a 2000 Palmer or even a 2000 Lascombes at Total Wine, genius. You're full of fail today. I guess envy will do that. Those two are just the tip of the iceberg in my collection. Of course, one of those bottles is one more than you'll ever have. LOL!

You're about a decade off there, champ. Now I realize that they don't print vintage years on your boxes of Franzia, so you might not attach much meaning to them, but to the rest of us, they actually mean something,

Thanks for trying though.

Just noting that I'm the only one that's ever backed anything ofsignificance up with photographic evidence while you've attempted to pass other people's photos off as your own. Oh, and getting a picture of a tort from a store a couple miles down the road isn't all that impressive.

You brag about buying $35/pound coffee that you can get for $10/pound less at TJs down the street as some sort of indicator of your wealth. A dork that has a Starbucks craving pays more per cup than you do.

Perhaps you should try the Quinoa salad from Zoe's Kitchen:

Quote

Quinoa tossed with tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, broccoli, green onion, olives and lemon vinaigrette, topped with feta, served over a bed of greens.

Imagine eating a bed of greens while on your new mattress purchased in Vienna Virginia.

It is all about the mattress purchased in Vienna Virginia. Chicken salad sandwiches are very important, but not as much as the beloved mattress.

Hahaha! An inability to distinguish between stock and personal photography is not really something to be bragging over. Such an intellectual cripple. People need to explain to you what a knife and a dogleg are to a golfer. That's sad.

> Oh, and getting a picture of a tort from a store a
> couple miles down the road isn't all that impressive.

It is when some weak-minded internet douchebag has suggested that this very store (which decided to abandon Falls Church) is of such lofty class and stature that another poster would have no familiarity with it -- only to learn that this other poster is and long has been a regular patron of the place and knows much more about it than the douchebag does. LOL! That was certainly a first-class FUCK-UP on your part, asshole -- just one among a great many, of course. Picked up any gelbwurst lately, stooge-boy?

> Definitely. Show us a bottle or two of yours.
> See if they match up.

We dine out so often that there is no longer a purpose to the keeping of a home stash. We do very little red wine these days in any case due to worsened sulfite reactions in an asthmatic spouse. While once we carted caseloads of the best French reds out of the old 9th Street Central Liquors location, the days of Montrose, Gruaud-Larose, La Tour, and Haut-Brion are now more or less numbered. Except of course when dining out with friends and business associates who welcome responsibility for a top-notch 375 ml or so.

And from your oeneophytic silence, I will assume that you've NOT been to The Wine House in Fairfax City. Perhaps that whole weinstube concept is just not within your ever so parochial purview. Or perhaps you just don't understand that the purpose of producing and procuring fine wines is to be able to drink them.

> You brag about buying $35/pound coffee that you
> can get for $10/pound less at TJs down the street

I simply state the facts. Then envy and butthurt force small people such as yourself to whine over all this $35-per-pound coffee being drunk as a daily grind by someone whose class you can never hope to be in. Poor little left-out spoiled-brat baby. As already noted, I have regular access to the first-class product at a price that is simply inconsequential to me. I don't visit either Starbucks or Trader Joe's for coffee or for any other regular reason. I was however in Caffe Amouri earlier this week -- that's in Vienna, you know -- and they did have late-harvested (August) Kona available in 12-ounce bags for $55. I didn't buy any of that either. I already have all that I need. That's just life at the top, little buddy, and you'll just have to take my word for all that.

Posting a picture of a tort purchased there proves none of the above. All it proves is that you are in possession of a tort purchased there.

Jesus, whoever posted word salad about you is dead on. Your rambling boil down to you don't have anything of the sort, you never have, you never will and you made up a bunch of shit trying to minimize that fact.

No, I rarely venture out that way.

And if silence indicates admission, your Aspergers must be off the charts. LOL.
Don't try denying you have it now, it's too late.

Believe me, I drink plenty if fine wines. In fact, I've proven it in this thread. You haven't proven shit beyond the fact you are a hapless loser wannabe.

And the fact is that a dork at Starbucks pays more per cup than you do for your precious Kona. Your consumption of Kona is hardly worldly or impressive. Nobody is envious and your butthurt because of that.

Another day, another ass kicking you've received. Same old, same old. You're road kill on the side of the road that's been flattened by a fleet of 18 wheelers.

There are three things that every entrepreneur needs:

1. Brick sidewalks
2. Traffic calming measures
3. More cowbell

Vienna can offer you all three.
