Yes, it's true. Old man O'Tool had to sell the place in order to get the money he needed to rescue his son Timmy out of the well.

Peter O'Toole has a double-phallic name.

O'Tools closed cause the "new" owners ran out on paying back the money they borrowed for renovations from the previous owners. So the new owners had to come back in, but unfortunately, they closed as of Sat 4/18, that was the last day. Koren BBQ is coming in its place.

On that note, Glory Days and Little Italy are closing...the owner of the strip mall is not renewing their leases so that they can bring in more korean businesses. Sounds like a tolerant bunch of folks those Koreans. Sorry Annandale, you are getting so yesterday.

If you're talking about the Little Italy in Bradlick Shopping Center...it ain't owned by Koreans. Unless they JUST bought it, like last week.

It has been owned for years by Combined Properties, which is owned by the Haft family (Dart Drug, Crown Books). The property is still listed on CPs website.

That and a stripmall owner evicting a long-term paying tenant just to bring in some risky new business because of their ethnicity is not exactly legal, realistic or the sort of business sense exhibited by those that would invest in a popular strip shopping center.

I should have prefaced that it was a fairly strong rumor about Glory Days and Little Italy.

Who said anything about evicting? So what if they did, they own it, They can do whatever they can within the limits of the lease agreement.

The word is that they just aren't renewing their lease. they aren't leaving right away, but eventually will leave. I'm sure finding another spot in strip mall heaven in Centreville won't be hard.

It's unfortuant if it's true and Little Italy doesn't open up again somewhere else.

I don't think Little Italy is going anywhere anytime soon, but it is a shame that the Koreans are driving out the tenants that are not Korean and the possibility exists that these establishments will expire due to their selfishness. I am white, and I fully support these people trying to establish stores that remind them of home, but taking over in the capicity that they have is a little rediculous. Not hating, just saying.
