Public schools don't recruit. Students transfer for academic reasons and what not.

Players are still ineligible if they live outside the county
You cant transfer for "academic reasons and what not" if you live in Alexandria

Just ask Loudoun County about the students from D.C. that all of a sudden live in homes in that county. Tell me they are not being brought in for their sports prowess? Legitimate Loudoun kids are being forced off of teams because of the D.C. transplants.

Trey apparently was booted from the team as he was failing one of his five classes (physics I believe). Its to bad because he recently commited as a non- scholarship preferred walkon to VMI. I don't think VMI is a good choice (academically and mentally demanding school, requires plenty of discipline and motivation, most kids who go there to just play sports end up dropping out.)

As to WTW FB recruiting, I heard that there was some bigger, high school aged athletes in the weight room putting in work with the Cavaliers.

Seriously, a commit as a non-scholarship preferred walk-on to that hoops powerhouse VMI? It sounds like he is a decent high school player who needs to focus on his academics, as his basketball career has already hit its apex.

Not a good time to lose a player like Trey. Where we the coaches and staff to push him to get his grades up? Should have sat him earlier to study could have also prepared the team for a situation like this.

Woodson does the most when trying to improve their athletics. Same with Lake Braddock. Wouldn't be surprised if they were recruiting kids. I hate W.T. Woodson High School so much and they will never be good at basketball after this year when Eric Bowles graduates
