Washington Post: Even NPR is now saying McDonnell is Innocent
Posted by: Jonnie Williams Sr. ()

First they determined that no Virginia laws were broken.

Then they determined that no one has ever been prosecuted for the made-up Federal crimes that they pinned on McDonnell.

Now the Appeals Court is strongly hinting of prosecutor abuse.

NPR doesn't like it, still using words like sleazy and shrewd, while recognizing that there was no way McDonnell could have known that his actions were later to be labeled wrong.

I have a hunch that the judge in this case held a grudge against McDonnell for derailing his wife's bid for a state judge appointment back in the late 90's. Many of his rulings in the case were very suspect and could be interpreted as being biased.

Warner and Kaine put Virginia on the national stage. McDonnell and Cuccinelli made Virginia a national disgrace.

@Bottom Line, you sound like the rest of the progressives, who applaud the use of the Justice Department to persecute those whose views they dislike. Where the Justice department of past administrations made up laws (see Enron), the progressives even invented the tactic of applying made-up laws to their political enemies.

That isn't what this nation is about. But it is what Progressives are about. And it's why the Justice department is anything but.

How long has attacking "progressives" instead of "liberals" been part of the plan? This is the first I've seen of it.

Its a good idea, sure to be effective in reducing the general public's desire to be aligned with the prgressive movement.

But do you fear any uprise in likability of the term 'liberal'? Its been beaten down hard for so long, there's probably not much danger. Plus, Elizabeth Warren fans have really started to rally around "progressive", so all in all, looks like a good move.

The switch to Progressive is notable because that's how they referred to themselves and their politics. The term liberal was discredited back in the mid 90s and by the end of that decade only the most rabid die-hard leftwing extremists wanted anything to do with the term.

I myself noticed my liberal friends start substituting Progressive for Liberal around 2003 or 04. I'm sure the think tanks and activist groups had already been doing that before and it was just filtering down to the drones by that point.

The point is to now call them out for what they call themselves. Call out liberals and today's modern liberal will not think you mean him. He'll conjure up the image of an old unreconstructed hippie. Use the term Progressive, or as I've seen on this website "so-called Progressive" as it means the object of your argument isn't really as Progressive as he thinks he is, and he'll understand you mean him.

Bob is innocent.

The engraved Rolex, trips to Cape Cod and Florida, tickets to the Final Four, $120,000 in loans, shopping spree in New York, $15,000 catered wedding, $20,000 cash as wedding presents to the daughters, golf outings for the sons, and private plane rides all provided by Johnny were simple gifts to his good friend Bob.

Why do libtards hate friendship?

Hillary Clinton makes McDonnell look like chump change. McDonnell received a $6,000 watch. Hillary Clinton received hundreds of thousands of dollars illegitately. I hope the Democrats are stupid enough to nominate this disgusting cow. She'll go down in flames as we all shout, "What difference does it make!"

And this totally excuses Bob's behavior.

The state of Va allowed gifts. Bob McDonnell did not break Va Law.No offical acts helping Johnnie occured. The Feds had to stick their noses in as they were partisan hacks. The game plan was to keep McDonnell out of the White house, They won.

You're just mad cause you're stuck being a so-called Progressive. That's called self loathing and projection. You can get help for that. Hell, I'll bet your precious Obamacare might even cover part of it.

No one is saying that McDonnell is innocent. A jury of his peers found him guilty. What people are saying is that he's likely to get off on appeal on a technicality such as the law is vague.

This is not the same as innocent.

It just goes to show that the rich play be a different set of rules and that money will always help you game the legal system.

It's probably going to be overturned because the judge gave incorrect instructions to the jury on what the law allowed and didn't allow. The judge wanted a guilty verdict and made sure the jury could only deliver a guilty verdict by making shit up about the law. Now he's going to be overturned. He won't care because he's a crazy old retired dude who agreed to come back part time so he's chillin'

^ Not exactly a nuanced explanation. Unless you can cite what the judge said and how it is counter to established law, then we have to assume that you repeating bullshit from some right wing site and have no idea what you are talking about. Not exactly unheard of around here.
