Don Pablo’s was a subsidiary of Avado Brands of Madison, Georgia. The company filed for bankruptcy in September 2007 and subsequently closed or sold about half of its 90 locations. The company had previously filed for bankruptcy in October 2004. In February 2008, 41 Don Pablo's locations were acquired by Rita Restaurant Corporation.

Don Pablo's has re-opened its doors in a few select places in Florida during 2012.

Ice cold 18 oz schooners, happy hour chips and queso dip on the house, good crowd, great time. 1999 -2002 or So Fair Lakes. Food was Ok mostly micro waved but Ok not a prob. My Highlight.. Seeing Wayne Lapiere of the NRA there one night standing in the line.
