PM snow showers on Monday evening.

DAMN IT! I am so hoping that FCPS uses up all their snow days so the little bastard have to go to Summer school again.

Ummm, the way they have negotiated their new schedule with the State means that Fairfax County will never have to make up snow days. Sorry.

I'm so tired of these meteorologist lying. How the fuck do you go from 6-14 inches to mostly rain? I don't hate school that much, but don't get my hopes up. Ja feel?

I use accuweather, which seems to be the best. It says round 40 degrees monday morning and mostly just rain. Maybe public schools since they fucked up that one day, but my university has yet to close this winter. GMU not gonna pass up potential parking ticket revenue.

BTW these public schools up here are pussies, the fuck you think New york or the Dakotas do when it snows? All these high taxes here, supposedly for education and they cant get the buses to run? pathetic

The Weather Channel said this one was going to hit the areas the other one missed. Looks like it's going the same place now..

I wouldn't expect you knuckle draggers to even understand how dynamic a weather system really is, but when you do learn, you'll understand why your hopes are always dashed.

I'll let you on a bit of info. The precipitation we get depends on the track. This storm is tracking right over us, so of course we are getting rain. If it tracks to the south off of NC, then we will get snow. It's pretty simple, but again, this is FFXU and most here are too ignorant to understand science.

Sorry, but the truth hurts.

I get what you're saying, but don't tell us we're getting a foot of snow and we don't get shit six days later. I was all ready to not go to school on Tuesday haha

Sorry for the hostility.

These storms are very hard to predict, especially the clippers that can seemingly start out as nothing and then in 2 days turn into a full fledged blizzard like we saw this week.

The initial models started out in agreement of the 10 to 15 inches but it was the track that changed, not the amount. Boston is expected to get 12 inches based on the latest model run while we will get rain.

I suggest NOT to get your hopes up for snow until at least 2 to 3 days out because you'll be setting yourself up for heartbreak.

My apologies, but unfortunately you are incorrect on this one. The track of the storm is actually one of the easier aspects to predict. Storm tracks can be predicted up to nearly a month in advance, which is why the weathermen were actually correct in predicting this storm weeks ago. The only thing that has changed since is the type of precipitation, which is influenced by the temperature, not the track of the storm. The track of the storm is still going exactly as planned two weeks ago. What has changed in the past couple days is the temperatures to-be. This is effected by conditions in the atmosphere. In essence, track of storm still the same, just different temperatures...Which is why we are most likely getting rain now and why you should actually learn about weather systems instead of pretending to know about them. Truth hurts...

Literally I think it was around 19 degrees on the forecast as the low and 28 as the high and now it's around 50 degrees. That is annoying too.
