Your a good person to visit your dad. A lot of family members never or rarely visit.
I've only dined in nursing homes a couple of times (I work in health care). Mostly it's mediocre, but the Inova LTC places come out with edible stuff sometimes.
Again, good for you for visiting your dad. He's lucky to have you - sounds like he raised you right.
