Could be some kids from Westfields stopped there after buying some heroin.

Hopefully whoever won it is seeking legal and financial advice before claiming the prize.

Then again, most people don't, end up going bankrupt because they can't say "no" to people, and regret ever playing the lottery.

Please...the owner of that ticket is dead by now, probably shot walking out of the store that night by other 17-18y/o hoodlums....DC---Family, isn't it about time? Not a sermon, just the truth....

I was wondering how long the person has to claim it. Probably somebody with warrants.

The winner has one year to claim their prize. For multi-state lotteries, the time period varies based on the state where you purchased the winning ticket, so for the Mega Millions lottery, a winning ticket purchased in VA has a lifespan of 180 days while it may have a full year if purchased in another state.

Hopefully the winner still has the ticket and just hasn't claimed the prize yet. If they lost it, I really do hope that they don't remember their number and just assume that they lost.
