Looking for shhoting range near fairfax

Does anybody know a good shooting range near fairfax where they rent assult rifles?

http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/wiki/Shooting_Ranges for the first part. For the second, I don't of any that do. Unless we are using different definitions of assault rifle. If by "assault rifle" you mean the true definition of a fully automatic rifle, I know of none. If by "assault rifle" you mean as the people opposing the Constitution do that "guns that are black or otherwise look vewwwwy skewwwwy but are no different than any other semi-automatic firearm aside from cosmetics" then several do.

WHy the fuck would you need a shooting range for an assault rifle? Don't ya just pull the trigger and spray the general target area, shredding everything in your path?

Depends on what you are shooting from. I'd say about 20 yards is good.

Blue Ridge has some HK416 type guns If I remember correctly, and a few MP5s. They're automatic.

A range offers safety. (you know, backdstops, firing lines, range safety officers, things like that) "Spray and Pray" is foolish and the mark of a real (and dangerous) rookie. "Shredding everything in your path" sounds like
something right out of Disney.

Although the poster didn't specify it in his or her original post, they meant to ask "Looking for GOOD shooting ranges near Fairfax". If this post was about "Looking for a shooting range with rip off firearm prices and douchebags", then by all means point them towards Blue Ridge Arsenal.

BRA and SEG can go fuck themselves...

Having said that, other than BRA there is not a NOVA range that rents ARs etc. If you really want to shoot one, you should try to meet someone who has an AR at the NRA Range in Fairfax.

I MIGHT think about letting someone shoot one of my ARs with me but I just don't know...
