Any info about what is going on there? A friend has a place there. It's full of immigrants and the place is a dump. Looks like public housiing in England.
Any good stories? Was it ever nice?

It was -- and still is -- a lot nicer than your impoverished place.

I have lived there twice.
First time was a blast 18yo cheap rent.
2nd time 25yo the place had no parking for guests and even though the sign said freashly renovated the place smelt like curry/kimchi.

It was quiet on the 12th floor tower 2.

Place has an in-building trash chute, aka roach elevator. Modern apartments have trash facility not-in-building.

Circle towers should be razed.

How convenient for the disabled, elderly, and those living on the 12th floor. By the way, you may not know roaches. They do not at all need a trash chute in order to move between one floor and another.

The people redoing the circle shopping center had wanted to get everything back through the Towers, but not enough cash or government backing for that.

I suppose we don't all know roaches as well as you. I'm sure you've had more experience than most of us. I can tell you this, however, roach boy, poorly maintained garbage chutes are a haven for roaches and other urban pests.

I claim to have no knowledge on the maintenance routine utilized on Circle Towers' garbage chute, but based on others' experiences there, it's a good bet it is not the best.

Well, I'm older than 14, so that would stand to reason.

So what are you hoping to contribute here then? Can you tell us whether cockroaches are apt to stay away from buildings having no or "well maintained" garbage chutes?

Hey, I'm not going to argue your vast experience with roaches. They usually go hand in hand with the poor and uneducated.

More than you ever could.

Well, there would be one less attractive feature for the roaches, now wouldn't there?

Rented there many years ago.

The whole place is for rent only, and renters care much less about the quality of their community. I saw people throwing lighted cigarettes from their balconies. I saw nasty trash thrown into a trash box in a lobby. I heard student residents scream outside in the middle of the night. I saw police showing up to arrest them. Alarms forced people out while power was out (No elevator!). Residents have no control over A/C and they are charged for electricity used in common areas. Management was unable to upgrade their age old elevators for too long. A woman at the rental office was a true authentic white bitch (Many people posted nasty reviews at places like apartments.com where they all called this woman bitch.

With all of these being said: A decent place for grad students and bachelors!!! LOL

Some folks now seem crushed when it comes to matters related to roaches. Just can't finish the stuff they start. Stay in school boys, it'll be the best for you in the long run.

Trash chutes are not built into modern buildings anymore BECAUSE they promote the spread of pests, in particular roaches throughout living areas in the building. What exactly are you not getting?

Go read the damn apartment reviews, almost everyone of them complains of roaches and bed bugs, mice, etc.
