Yes thx - Oakton Cougar fan here. Tired of these Westfield fans myself. This is like the Westfield talk about me line.

Yeah I agree, thanks Westfield fans for bringing this discussion down many levels. We can always count on you to take it to the gutter. Get a life.

______________________________________________________________________________

Well it appears that 7-8 of the first 9 threads were anti-Westfield. Not sure how the Westfield fans brought anything down, it would appear the opposite.

BTW, nice attempt to get back to football steve k2. I like your picks but think Centreville and Robinson win their contests next week. Also think that SOCO not only wins but covers the spread easily.

Let's not be so hasty with jumping out against Westfield fans, sure there are some obnoxious people in our fan base but I promise we aren't all like that. I want to say great game Centreville, y'all are always tough and as always I look forward to the next time we play. Go Westfield.

As a wildcat fan I am sorry to say that I too am appalled at our behavior. I wish parents would quit coddling to these boys. Its about time they learn how to be men, respectable ones at that. But what can you expect from the status conscious clique parents in LRR. Sad.

Good to see a Northern Region RB is top rusher in the WP for first time in a while and in an era of more pass first offenses.
Does Hayfield do any spread or is it all just I formation and Jet sweeps to get the Ross kid all those yards?

Thanks for the lines; it was a well-needed diversion from the Centreville-Westfield talk.

Just one question -- no line on McLean at Fairfax? I can understand why you wouldn't want to set a line on that game. How about we call it a pick 'em?

My mistake, skipping McLean @ Fairfax was an oversight. The teams come in with 15 combined losses in a row, but it makes for a good game with pretty equal teams desperate to get a win.

This may change but...

McLean @ Fairfax (-3.0)
*McLean has been playing as of late, but I look for Fairfax being at home to be a nice advantage.

I dont have the time to run scenarios but I think the top 16 are pretty much locked in. Patriot is only going to win 1 more game. Woodson is probably not going to win another. TC Williams could maybe win their last 2. Osbourn will only win 1 more. Who is going to make a move into the top 16 other than those that are already there? am i wrong?

For the love of God, Westfield dads are killing this site. It used to be informative and interesting. Now people just argue about back when iPhones didn't exist their sons teams was better than centrevilles. Get with the program people, what have you done for me lately?! We live in a world of results. While Westfield has impressive numbers, they've only been around for under 20 years. That sounds impressive....it's not. Wait until the socio economic environment of your area changed Westfield and you have your turf field taken over by soccer players and cricket tournaments. Annandale won 2 state championships in their first 15 years(same as you), was a dominant force in the state, and was even ranked at one point as the number one team in the country. Your success will fade, like it is beginning to. I am not a Westfield hater, and I will let the dads pick apart my post later, but I wanted to be clear that I have no dog in the fight nor have I ever, but if I'm speaking for the rest of fairfax county, GET OVER YOURSELVES. It's not your year, enough excuses. Cville, get off this site please, we won't expose you this year out of pity. That's cool you and the "dream team" of talent one a title. But it's not 2013 and those kids are gone.

I'd have to run the numbers, and that is incredibly complicated, but I don't think that everyone in the top 16 are locked in. I'm thinking that any team that is currently in the top 12 is locked in, but teams that are in 13-16 may not yet have it sewn up. Keep in mind that Yorktown (#15) and W-L (#16) play each other the final weekend of the season, and if a team below them gets a win, the loser of that game could be out.

Here is the full remaining schedule for teams 13 - 16:

13. Centreville: @ Chantilly, v. Robinson
14. Annandale: v. TC Williams, @ West Springfield
15. Yorktown: @ Langley, v. Washington-Lee
16. Washington-Lee: v. Madison, @ Yorktown

The schedules for the four teams outside:

17. Patriot: @ Osbourn Park, @ Battlefield
18. Woodson: v. West Springfield, @ TC Williams
19. TC Williams: @ Annandale, v. Woodson
20. Osbourn: BYE, @ Osbourn Park

I think Langley also bears watching: If they can knock off Yorktown this weekend (and I think that is a favorable match up for them), they should finish the season with two consecutive wins (McLean is their last opponent). In fact, their schedule is the most favorable of any of the potential contenders. Their only question is whether they are in too deep of a hole to be overcome by two consecutive wins.

Demographics are of course an interesting aspect of high school football programs but I'm not sure I really understand the point of your diatribe. Are you suggesting that Annandale football fans and boosters did not talk about or take pride in their programs during and shortly after their heyday? I run into football players and coaches from older historic programs in Fairfax County - say from 1970s-80s - and those folks still take great pride in those times and love to talk about it. And I actually enjoy hearing about it. I guess I should tell them to shut it?

And your analogy while possibly prospective is not necessarily a good one for the point you may be trying to make. Annandale opened in 1954 and they won their first state title in 1965. And their most recent in 1994. That's 29 years apart and 40 years after they opened.

Oakton v. Broad Run was a great game. It was 0-0 at the half, and was 14-14 at the end of regulation. Oakton scored with less than a minute to go to send the game to OT.

In the first OT, Oakton had the ball first (and scored). and BR tied it when they got the ball. Second OT, BR had the ball first and scored on what could have been called offensive PI as the BR receiver pushed off, but there was no flag. WHen Oakton got possession, they had third and goal and fumbled the ball to BR. Game over.

Both teams were missing key players. Oakton's starting QB was out, and BR's running back was out. Offensively, the QBs for both teams played exceptionally well. Bricker for BR and Bacon for Oakton made play after play.

Very reliable synopsis of this game, although Broad Run was mssiing their top two defenders ( All-Region middle linebacker and All-State safety and running back).

Is Oakton's injured QB much better than Bacon? Where does Bacon play when he is not the QB, as he clearly must start at some other position if not 1st string QB.

Great high school football game between two well coached teams.

I think Broad Run will have their hands full with Robinson, but should be competitive if their studs can get cleared in time for Friday.

Also, kudos to Briar Woods for gut check win over Chantilly. Everything has gone agains them this year, but they could have packed it in for the season, which is exactly what would have happened if they had lost.

No idea what happened to Stone Bridge against Tuscarora. Tusky is now 9-0, but some of those wins have been of the miracle variety. To blow out Stone Bridge was not expected.

I decided to do some calculations. It's still too complicated to craft every scenario, but what I did was calculate a "worst case" points scenario for the current last four in, and a "best case" points scenario for the first four out. These calculations would be worst case/best case point scenarios just after this weekend's action.

Worst case for last four in:

- Centreville: 215 points
- Annandale: 212 points
- Yorktown: 210 points
- W-L: 213 points

Best case for first four out:

- Patriot: 214
- Woodson: 221
- TCW: 218
- Osbourn: 204

Osbourn won't see much movement because they have a bye this week, and therefore, it's hard to see how they get in. The situation for everyone else is fairly fluid. W-L plays Yorktown in the last week, and Woodson plays TCW, and both of those games (but especially W-L at Yorktown) could prove to be elimination games -- winner is in, loser is out.

Nice player, but not a D1 talent in any way, shape, or form. Unless he has a 2100 on his SAT's and a 4.2 GPA. Then he can go play for an Ivy.

Broad Run (-3.0) @ Robinson
*I love this matchup, Broad Run has been a little down early, but I like their pass game in this matchup.

I'm going with Robinson in the upset

Centreville @ Chantilly (-1.0)
*Another great game. Can Chantilly finally beat Centreville after some UGLY performances the past several years? I like the Chargers in a close, bigtime win for them.

Chantilly has to strike while the iron is . . . cool.

Edison (-7.0) @ Lee

Lee pulls this one out.

Falls Church @ Oakton (-28.0)
*Falls Church has been hitting their stride the past couple weeks, but TJ and Edison are obviously nowhere near the talent of the Concorde. Look for the Cougars to cruise in this one.

Oakton wins but doesn't cover that spread.

Herndon @ Westfield (-35.0)

35 might not be enough here. Herndon is a bad, bad football team.

Lake Braddock (-49.5) @ Mount Vernon

and 49.5 may not be enough here, either.

Madison (-21.0) @ Washington-Lee

Madison wins and covers.

Marshall (-35.0) @ Stuart

Marshall wins and covers

Potomac Falls @ Stone Bridge (-3.0)
*Good game here, Stone Bridge is so up and down, I look for an up week this Friday.

Potomac Falls takes advantage of a schizo Stone Bridge team and wins by 4.

South Lakes @ Hayfield (-3.0)
*Really on the fence about this one; it should be a fun game to watch.

Hayfield wins and covers.

TC Williams @ Annandale (-6.0)
*This should be another fun game, with pretty even talent on both sides.

TC gets one here.

Wakefield (-40.0) @ Jefferson

Wakefield wins but doesn't cover.

West Potomac @ South County (-14.5)
I think the Wolverine's are the turd in the SoCo/LB Punchbowl next week. WestPo knocks off the Stallions. You read it here first.

West Springfield (-28.0) @ Woodson
West Springfield wins but doesn't cover that spread.

Yorktown @ Langley (-7.0)
Yorktown in the upset.

I think Chantilly wins, which, given this line, is the same as winning and covering.

Who knows? I'll take Edison to win, but not cover.

Oakton wins, but doesn't cover
>
> Herndon @ Westfield (-35.0)

Westfield wins and covers.

I hate to give 49 points and I usually would take the underdog with this big of a spread, but not here, given the teams involved. LB wins and covers
>
> Madison (-21.0) @ Washington-Lee

I generally don't think the Arlington teams are very good, but I have to give credit to WL for making some adjustments to get three consecutive wins (even though they were against three teams that have a combined 2 wins among them). However, Madison is in a different league from Langley, Fairfax, and McLean. Madison's biggest danger is that they look past WL to their showdown next week v. Hayfield. While that could happen, I don't think Madison or their coaches will allow it to. Madison wins and covers.
>
> Marshall (-35.0) @ Stuart

Marshall wins and covers. Who would have ever expected Marshall to be a 35 point FAVORITE? They have recently played the role of 35 point underdogs. It's amazing what a competition realignment will do for a team's fortunes. Even though they are playing lesser competition this year, a win is still a win, and I'm sure the boys are happy to be winning for once.
>
> Potomac Falls @ Stone Bridge (-3.0)

I'm going to take Stone Bridge to win and cover.

I'm on the fence as well, but I'll take Hayfield to win and cover. I think they will win by a TD.
>

This is definitely an even match up. I'll take Annandale to win and cover at home.
>
> Wakefield (-40.0) @ Jefferson

Wakefield wins and covers.
>
> West Potomac @ South County (-14.5)

Both teams are good teams, but I think in Conference 7, SC and LB are on a higher level than West Po and WS (both of whom occupy the second tier). I'll take SoCo to win and cover.
>
> West Springfield (-28.0) @ Woodson

I hope Woodson enjoyed their win last week, because it's the last one they'll get this year. West Springfield wins and covers.
>
> Yorktown @ Langley (-7.0).

I'd really like to punt on predicting this game. Yorktown is 3-5, but I really don't think they are as good as their record indicates. Langley is 1-7, but I don't think they are as bad as their record indicates. If I had to guess, I'd take Langley to win, but not cover.

Not so sure, I would feel better vs South County if we wouldn't have lost our #1 D-1 level WR CJ Burch who was near the top of metro area receivers with 43 catches for 829 yds and 6 TDs. we have a couple other good WRs but he was a game changer. He hit Langley for 200 yds and Lake Braddock for 146 and Woodson for 152. He is out for the year.

WHich is why I said "FCS." There is a vast difference between say, Alabama - a top FBS school - and say, Georgetown, a Division non-scholarship school in the Patriot League. He definitely has the skill set to play at some FCS schools. Have no clue about his grades.

Madison has a talented core of senior three year starters that experienced the 1 win season two years ago and went 5-5 last year. The QB is very good and he has some nice targets to throw to. I suspect the thing that will hold them back is mediocre coaching.

The last year they were good in '12 they lost to a very mediocre SoCo team in the first round of the playoffs and should have beaten Oakton this year as they are obviously down from previous years. Madisons best wins this year have been against an inconsistent Stone Bridge team and a talented but inexperienced South Lakes team. THey should win Conf 6 but I don't think they have what it takes to make a deep playoff run.

If Hayfield beats South Lakes this Friday, the Madison/Hayfield game will be for the championship. I[m assuming Madison will beat WL, which I think is likely. If SL beats Hayfield, then a Madison loss to Hayfield will set up a three way tie atop the standings. At the beginning of the season, I was calling for Madison to win Conference 6. The prevailing opinion was that Hayfield would win, and that Yorktown would be more competition for Hayfield than Madison. Hayfield might still win, but Madison should be no worse than second place.

I'm not surprised that Madison is at the top of the conference, but I'm more surprised about South Lakes success this season.

Madison is a good team. The Oakton/Madison game was a good game. Were Madison to play Oakton now, I think Madison would win going away. I see two big question marks with Madison: their depth, and their team speed.

That said, I like Gastrock, Ebersole and Counts. They are solid players.

For what it's worth, Madison is currently in 4th place, with 235 overall points. They are behind Westfield, who has 250, and ahead of Battlefield and West Springfield, tied for 5th place with 226 points. I don't see Madison moving higher than 4th. They could drop to 6th with a loss in their final game, depending on how the others do. For all practical purposes I think they are locked into 4th. If the playoffs started today, they would play the 13th placed team, which is currently Centreville.

Let me drop some knowledge on you... No need to discuss the blowouts, just intriguing matchups!

Stone Bridge over Potomac Falls - Pot Falls' record (6-2)is a bit deceiving. Briar Woods is their only win over a decent opponent, and Briar is 3-6 this year. Stone Bridge gets QB back and rolls in last two games. Tough playoff opponent for anyone.

Robinson over Broad Run - Not an upset, if you ask me. Broad Run is pretty beat up, a product of not having any patsies on their schedule since Langley. Spartans are more athletic and typically destroy those teams with less athleticism, but do have trouble with strong teams and their power running game. Should be close, but Robinson has the edge.

Langley over Yorktown - Langley has had a tough season. They take their frustrations out on a very mediocre Yorktown team.

Chantilly over Centreville - Good Chantilly offense runs up some points on average Centreville defense. Might not be that close unless Wildcats can score some points early.

Lee over Edison - Steve have Lee getting 7. I'll take that. They have a slightly better showing against common opponents.

Broad Run (-3.0) @ Robinson
Tough game to pick. I’ll take Broad Run 27-20

Centreville @ Chantilly (-1.0)
Chantilly needs to win this game. I’ll take them 42-41 in Double OT

Edison (-7.0) @ Lee
Mehhhh. Lee seems to have improved throughout the season. Ill take the Lancers 28-21
Falls Church @ Oakton (-28.0)
Falls Church is very different without Mejia. Oakton 42-0

Herndon @ Westfield (-35.0)
Herndon is really bad. Westfield 49-6

Lake Braddock (-49.5) @ Mount Vernon
Lake Braddock rolls 63-7

Madison (-21.0) @ Washington-Lee
Madison will punch WL in the mouth. 28-6

Marshall (-35.0) @ Stuart
Marshall rebounds 38-8

Potomac Falls @ Stone Bridge (-3.0)
Poc Falls is a serious contender in D5. I think experience will be the deciding factor however. SB wins 38-27 in the game of the week.

South Lakes @ Hayfield (-3.0)
This is a tough one to call. SL appears to have more weapons but Hayfield has the best player on the field. I’m taking Hayfield 39-28

TC Williams @ Annandale (-6.0)
Matthie has his hands full. I think Annandale steals this one late. 24-20

Wakefield (-40.0) @ Jefferson
Wakefield is rolling but will get owned in the playoffs. Wakefield wins 40-0

West Potomac @ South County (-14.5)
Don’t sleep on West Poc… Hopefully SC isn’t looking ahead to next week. I think SC will be focused and win 48-2.

West Springfield (-28.0) @ Woodson
Hmmm. On paper this should be a West Springfield blowout but something tells me the Woodson will find a way to stay in it. I’ll take WS but not by 4 TDs. 35-21

Yorktown @ Langley (-7.0)
Tough season for Langley. I think they find a way though. 28-26

A lot of surprises this week. Botched a few games but that's what keeps it interesting. I cannot recall a 4 touchdown favorite of mine ever losing, so way to go and kudos to Woodson. To West Springfield, I think we have a new poster child for inconsistent. This might be the most surprised I was at a score the last few years.

Broad Run (-3.0) @ Robinson
*Robinson won 31-20. Broad Run is depleted and fizzling out toward the finish line. Great win for the Rams who continue to give solid performance after solid performance. Keep in mind they lost to Lake Braddock by 7 and Westfield by 3; in a cold weather game with their running game, they can be a very intriguing postseason team.

Centreville @ Chantilly (-1.0)
*Centreville won 37-20. Another wrong. You know what though, Chantilly always fizzles the second half of the regular season, I'm not surprised. Centreville looked very respectable in this one, I'm not saying their on the same level as the big dogs this year, but if I am a high seed I would hate this matchup. Chantilly for that matter too, with their passing game if they can draw someone from the Liberty, look out.

Edison (-7.0) @ Lee
*Edison won 35-20.

Falls Church @ Oakton (-28.0)
*Oakton won 41-7.

Herndon @ Westfield (-35.0)
*Westfield won 48-17.

Lake Braddock (-49.5) @ Mount Vernon
*Lake Braddock won 63-0.

Madison (-21.0) @ Washington-Lee
*Madison won 21-13.

Marshall (-35.0) @ Stuart
*Marshall won 39-19.

Potomac Falls @ Stone Bridge (-3.0)
*Stone Bridge won 20-17. Look at that, nailed one! To the above poster saying Pot Falls doesn't have extremely quality wins, yes, but they've shown me they can play with anyone in Loudoun, losing by a FG to Tuscarora and Stone Bridge. 5A is so up for grabs and this team is right up there with everyone. This team actually reminds me of the '06 Chantilly team from the standpoint they have made a huge jump in talent and are losing to the big dogs in such close games. By the time they get to the playoffs though, their confidence will be high and just like Chantilly that year a region run would not surprise me in the least. Sometimes I think losing a super close game can be an advantage in a rematch.

South Lakes @ Hayfield (-3.0)
*South Lakes wins 35-14. Trey Taylor has got to be in the discussion for coach of the year, but there's a couple who will leap frog him, being Madison and Robinson's coaches.

TC Williams @ Annandale (-6.0)
*Annandale won 21-0.

Wakefield (-40.0) @ Jefferson
*Wakefield won 42-0.

West Potomac @ South County (-14.5)
*South County with a big 53-20 win; was like a 2 point game at halftime. Sets up the GAME OF THE YEAR against 9-0 Lake Braddock next week.

West Springfield (-28.0) @ Woodson
*Woodson won 35-28; read above in my monologue. Shocker!

Yorktown @ Langley (-7.0)
*Langley won 48-23.

I love the way chantilly fans rationalize their consistent mediocrity by virtue of playing in the ultra competitive Concorde. The difference is that the top Concorde teams of past seasons never lost to teams like Herndon last year or Yorktown two years ago (Yorktown had a good record but played a weak schedule).

It appears that now the hope is to draw a liberty patsy in the first round of regionals so they can claim a playoff win before a legit program sends them home. I think Madison, south lakes or hayfield would relish drawing chantilly in the first round because they know who they really are, a liberty conference team that happens to play in the Concorde.

At first glance, W-L at Yorktown this will coming up looks like it will, in fact be the elimination game that it was predicted it would be. Woodson got a huge points bonanza by beating West Springfield. Coupled with TC Williams' loss, it looks like Woodson @ TC next week will no longer be an elimination game, because it looks like TC won't be able to catch #16. I don't think Woodson has it quite locked down yet, because it looks like Patriot could still catch them if they win next week, and Woodson loses. Patriot plays Battlfield, so a win will be a tall order for them.

I think Chantilly, and everyone above Chantilly has clinched a playoff berth. If Yorktown wins and Chantilly loses, it still looks like Yorktown won't get enough points more than Chantilly to pass Chantilly. Since Yorktown is the first team on the outside, that would be the test of whether Chantilly has clinched.

West Springfield's unexpected loss knocked them out of a first round home game.

I'm not sure if Westfield, with a win, could catch Lake Braddock if LB were to lose to SC. If I'm right about that, LB v. SC next week is for the overall regular season championship

And I doubt hayfield or madison would want them.....as a fact check tilly beat hayfield last year at hayfield easily.and beat madison last year as well.

Yes, I goofed on that, and realized it after I posted (and was too late to correct). The winner is definitely the Conference 7 champ. The winner is also the regular season Northern Region 6A champ, that is, the team that has the most points overall and gets the top seed in the playoffs. The point that I was trying to make was whether the loser of the game keeps second place overall, or would fall to third.

That's what I thought. Not sure Westfield could jump up a spot given the disparity in points. I guess a lot has to do with how everyone's opponents finish out as well.

I'm pretty sure though there isn't a regular season Northern Region 6A champ. That's what the playoff bracket is, to earn that distinction. Under the new format there are only Conference champions then the one team crowned Region champion.

So, to be upfront, I wentto this game to scout Broad Run. I help out with one of the Stafford County schools who will likely being playing the best of Loudoun for the D5 regionals. What struck me about this game was how Robinson played. They had a big advantage in the running game, and could have just played hard and went home with a victory. This is a very dirty team! All D6 opponents should take note. It clearly seems as though they are taught to chop block. Although it was only called twice, it could have been called 20 times. That is bush. They were also targeting the heads of the Broad Run kids, and did manage to knock out the QB with a dirty hit that wasn't called at halftime. I think they had 13 penalties called, and it sure seemed to me like the refs were trying to help out Robinson. In fact, except for a bothed snap on a punt that was returned for a touchdown, and a phantom incomplete call on an apparent touchdown catch, Robinson could have just as easily lost because of the personal fouls that were called. A review of the game tape will reveal the dirty plays, so you don't have to take my word for it. It is too bad, because, as Steve pointed out, they can play with anyone in the region. They had better do it this year, because this is a senior-ladden team with big problems next year.

There is a chance that South County could still hold on to the top spot with a loss.

Not a great chance, but since they are 8 points up on Braddock now, if South County loses (14 points) Braddock's win (26 points) could still find themselves short if South County were to get more bonus points next week.

Just sayin'...

Date: October 31, 2015 04:24PM

What people call a chop block is often legal within the tackle box, they just don't understand the definition. When an offensive lineman cuts a hard charging dlineman its legal and an essential part of an offensive lineman's tool set. An illegal chop block is when one lineman post or stands up a dlineman while another blocks below the waist.

outside the tackle box if a lead back or pulling lineman where to block below the waist that would be an illegal chop block and is considered dirty, however a corner back coming up on a big running back and taking him out below his knees is considered a good play. Go figure.

What Robinson does is what Navy and Georgia Tech and others do every week, they employ the use of the cut block it is legal and definitely not dirty.

Also at the game last night... on the Robinson side. They cheer late hits, they cheer dirty hits on the sideline. They targeted the knees of the defensive lineman when already engaged. Dirty, dirty pool. And why do I agree and think it is taught there? Because my friend and his friends were all very proud whenever someone didn't get up from the opposition, or when they cleaned a kid's clock out of bounds, but he was hurt. I know what a cut block is bro, and that ain't what they are doing!

Not sure why they made all of the top Loudoun schools play a bunch of D6 schools though. They did take a beating playing difficult schedule week in and week out.

Some schools are "system" schools and will do well every year, but I agree -overall talent is down. This area is full of a lot of pussy parents and numbers are dwindling, especially among the white families of Fairfax and Loudoun. Look at the youth leagues - MUCH smaller than in year's past!

Robinson is loaded with seniors, with 6 of them starting on O, and 6 on D, but most of the juniors are on Varsity and are either playing/ or backups. Robinson JV does suck ass, but that is because 95% of the JV starters are sophomores. Robinson will lose a lot of personnel, but they won't pull a centreville.

Also, if anybody else has seen Woodson that can explain why on offense after they are set, all players will stand up and look to the sideline? They did it almost every play earlier in the season.

If a corner comes up outside the box and blows up a pulling lineman with a below the waste block, it is considered a chop block, because we did it vs Robinson on any buck sweeps and their coaches were crying the blues.

First off, nobody is cheering late hits or dirty plays. You're an idiot if you believe that. Both late hit calls occurred on the Broad Run side of the field so on the first one, when the Robinson player makes the tackle, it's impossible to see that it's happened out of bounds until the ref throws the flag. But I will say that the second late hit was bull since Embrey wasn't attempting to go out of bounds. It was a fourth down play and he was trying to get to the first down flag.

As far as the chop blocks, they aren't chop blocking. That's just poor officiating and not knowing what they're seeing. Obviously, that's the same issue with you.

Wow, I guess the Broad Run's quarterbacks mother chimed in. Tell your son not to hold on to the ball for 8 seconds and try and scramble from mid-field on the final play of the half. Get rid of the ball on time and he could have avoided that hit. It was not dirty, but it was unfortunate. Also, Broad Run was fortunate to stop Robo on their first drive and give up only a field goal --- the score could have been worse.

Robinson took an equal number of penalties last year, and nobody was whining then --- undisciplined does not equal dirty.

There is no doubt that a chop block is illegal --- Robinson got call accordingly. They also got called for several holds -- does that make them dirty well?

If you can't hang with the big boys, find a 4A team to play.

I was at the game and I know the parents of the Broad Run QB and that was not a dirty hit. As someone said, it was an unfortunate hit in that he got hurt.

He started scrambling and turned into the hit as both defenders were engaging him. It's football. Robinson wasn't head hunting or hitting dirty, they were tackling.

Was it a dirty hit when the WR got sandwiched between two defenders and got hurt? No.

I will agree that the game could have gone the other way just as easily. If the Broad Run WR's could catch they might have run away with the game but they dropped more balls than I could count. The Robinson defense came to play and they got a beautiful one handed interception at the end zone that the refs called down on the 1 yard line.

If you think the refs were favoring Robinson then you were watching another game.

Sounds like some teams/coaches are getting afraid of Robinson. When you are physical people tend to call you dirty. Robinson might finally be back to what they used to be.

Anyone who saw centreville early this season will be surprised at the team they are becoming they've been dominating defensive lines on the oline for weeks they are catching up on defense. Missing two d1 line man can have that effect. Chant illy and Westfield can tell you about them.

Westfield was outgained and beaten on both sides of the line. Chantilly could not stop the run game gave up 285 rushing yards. Robinson treated chanttilly similar. them similar on the ground but they can't Throw the ball period. Centreville skill more then adequate.

This will be a very competitive game. Cville 28 Robinson 21
