Why are Fairfax county teachers not drug tested?

I couple of teachers live next door to me and they are on the wacky weed all the time. They drug test all the bus drivers, Lunch Ladies and custodians so why not the teachers?

For any teacher in FCPS, the question is not do you smoke weed, but do you smoke ENOUGH weed.

Excuse me but , DUH! The main reason lots of people get into the teaching field is so they can do drugs. If they started testing teachers about half of them would be gone! It is hard enough trying to find college educated people willing to work for low pay without drug testing them.

Teachers that began teaching 15 years might be taking pain killers, oxy, or muscle relaxers.

I've been told that oxy helps stop stomach issues. Yeah, issues caused by misusing painkillers.

An admin is currently on short term leave to get clean.

Believe this, one teacher with seven years in the county snorts heroin on the weekends.

Just as any profession, addicts exist.

teaching is no different.
