saw my first police chase today at 4:30. Silver Cherokee coming from 7 west onto 123 toward vienna. the cherokee was not going that fast...the cherokee and 1 police cruiser took awhile to pass me. I should have followed but had to take care of some things.

No worries though...I later saw the cherokee pulled over (along with 7 police cruisers. give or take) on gallows across from the dmv heading towards rt 7. Two black girls - late teens to mid-twenties - were sitting handcuffed on the curb.

ahhhhh. closure!

I saw it too. You sure it wasn't a man? The other spectators swore it was a man with dreadlocks. They drove through some neighborhood streets in Vienna and it looked like they through something out of the window. One cop stopped to get something on the side of the road. It was pretty exciting to see it in action. Fifteen cops just flying down the road.

They were definitely two black woman around 20-30, I watched the whole ending from about 30 yards away. The cops had both the woman's purses and they were showing all the cops something in the purses maybe drugs?

I don't think it's PC to mention their race. The Post always tries to avoid that, even when describing escaped killers. If the Post can do that, you should too!

you guys need to get a police scanner. Car ran out of tysons mall after stealing a bunch of stuff then rammed a police car as it fled the mall. it went down 123 into vienna dumpin evidence and shit as they went down the road. the cop said they threw out a bag of crack somewhere. then the dumbass driver went all the way through vienna down to gallows road then back up to tysons. cops hit then with spike stips and flattened the tires. you can still see the marks in the road where the rims were grinding into the pavement. they stopped the car near old courthouse road and they locked up the 2 black girls. they were sitting on the curb when my friend and i went by to check it all out. the front of a blue undercover police car was all busted up. so i'm thinking charges for theft, probably for a stolen car, assault on a police officer with a car, possession of crack, reckless driving, and speed to elude a cop. lesson to learn here folks is to plan your getaway ahead of time so you dont get lost in tysons at rush hour

I saw the chase go through Vienna around the Giant. There was the initial chase with the gray SUV and a couple of police cars behind it. After that three clumps of three or four police cars each followed. 123 in Vienna on a Friday night is a crowded mess.

The Police cars following the first wave felt like more of a danger than the initial chase. They were driving down the wrong side of the road at speed. One of them whipped around a car that was going the right way down the road. It looked like the end of the Blues Brothers.

I'm not sure this is even near proportional for a drug/shoplifting charge. Evading the police escalated the whole thing but still does it require a dozen police cars going through a busy shopping area at 50 MPH on the wrong side of the street.

You don't do this kinda shit in Farifax county. "Plead Guilty" County maybe, but not here.
