Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Found this poster cleaning out my basement. Pretty sure it was purchased by my mother in the early 60's. Any idea where I might someone who would know?
Surely some wacked out geezer Beatles fan would want this for their collection.

Unless it was signed, it probably isn't worth much if anything. Moreover, it's a generic poster that doesn't represent an event, and it's been folded. Personally, I would have no interest (and I collect some of this stuff).

Well I'm happy to say you would be WRONG because I've already been offered $100 on a Facebook auction/yard sale page. There's always insane people on those sites.
Depends on the condition. It certainly doesn't look mint. If it was in mint condition, it could be worth up to $300. That one looks to be worth about $20-$40.
Over the years I've taken a few things to Quinn's Auction and have found them to be fair. They have some good appraisers on staff and they'll tell you what they think it is worth.

Someone just sold one on etsy for $75. Two other people are trying to sell them for $95.00 and $199.99. There's a couple on eBay for anywhere from $29.99 to $288.89 (this last one is framed).
It sounds like the $100 offer is reasonable, but you could always try putting it up for auction and see if you get more. Remember that what something is worth is what someone is willing to actually pay you for it.
