The purpose of taking religious holidays off the calendar isn't to eliminate them, but rather to underscore the fact that they are not the exclusive province of some clueless bunch of exclusionary assfuck fundie Xtians. The holidays are for everyone of every faith, most of which are better than your stupid sky-god Xtianity anyway.
