CDC says flu shot is waste of time

The Center of Disease Control and Prevention announced that this season flu vaccine might bring lots of serious illness. Hence, the current vaccine would not be able to fight with them this winter.

The concerned authorities are especially worried about the H3N2. It is the most common flu of the United States. Last year, a large number of people were hospitalized due to this particular virus.

Generally, it attacks people of every age whether it is adult, children and aged people. It gives birth to several other deadly diseases. According to officials, this year this type of flu could send thousands of people to hospitals and clinics this year as well.

The advisory informed that researchers accumulated nearly 50 percent of the 85 flu samples. Later on, they concluded that flu viruses from October to November were completely different from the entire ordinary virus.

Therefore, the other major problem for the health officials is the treatment of H3N2. Authorities intend to modify all the previous basic vaccines and medications for this year.

CDC stated that the effectiveness of the vaccines have fallen in the past few years. However, it does not signify that flu vaccine is completely useless. It will keep people safe from that specific virus. Hence, it is essential to get vaccinated.

Your post is stupid. CDC recommends a yearly flu shot for everyone 6 months of age and older as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu. Every year, viruses included in the vaccine "drift" away from the precise form that was used to prepare the vaccine earlier in the year. H3N2 currently seen in the wild has exhibited a drift of about 50%. The vaccine will still provide important protection against H3N2, just not as much as if the virus had not drifted as far.

There are of course pinheads in the world who see it as their job to proclaim that nothing works and we are all doomed. It's wisest simply not to pay any attention at all to such goobers.

CDC's update was issued primarily to alert health care professionals to an increased potential need for use of neuraminidase inhibitor antiviral medications as an adjunct to vaccination. Tamiflu, Relenza, and Inavir are examples of this class of drugs. They work effectively against both influenza-A and inlflueza-B viruses.

Want to try that again, in English? Yes, the words are English, but the sentence makes no sense. The flu vaccine is going to bring "lots of serious illness"? So the current vaccin won't be able to fight with WHOM this winter?

WTF? Why don't you morons read the drivel you post??

The flu shot should be only for infants and elderly because their immune systems are more fragile, I have never taken the flu shot nor have I gotten the flu. People panic too much.

So they expect a rerun of last year's flu virus. If you had a flu shot last year, you probably don't need one.

Lots of articles over the years have suggested the flu shot is ineffective - see, for example:

http://www.naturalnews.com/029760_vitamin_d_influenza.html

Google it yourself too - there are lots of sources. It's just unusual to see the info coming from the CDC.

Also growing evidence that vitamin D3 is at least as effective, not to mention cheaper and safer. If you go that route, read up on combining D3 with vitamin K2.
