Fraudulent businesses in Fairfax

Don't use this makeup artist. Megan Elizabeth Toohey uses portfolio pictures that are stolen and not her own work. She has multiple theft charges on her record.

And do not hire Mimi Diaz Torres. She will embezzle money from your office and steal insurance checks.

Just talking about the fraud you're committing on your website. Quit stealing and folks will stop warning others. Credit card Fraud charges in arlington, multiple larceny charges in fairfax. Who knows what she's gotten away with, if that's the times she's been caught. One theft charge is actually from her own mother, so just imagine how hard it would be for her to steal from you.

This is a link to some work by a talented makeup artist, Vadim Andreev http://mybeautiness.com/professional-makeup-artist-tips-from-vadim-andreev/
Notice the picture of the red head, just a few shots down on the page. A magical transition obvious skill and talent was required to produce!

Now look at this screen shot from Megan Tooheys page (which accepts paypal to make appointments based solely on the pictures she provides)

Yes, that is the same picture, cropped and relabeled as her own.

Other artists she has stolen work from are Courtney Carmack, and Mika does Makeup in BC: http://mikadoesmakeup.com/2010/05/21/grad-makeup-by-mika-does-makeup/

Her other fraud of a "company" website:

http://prettypunkmakeupartistry.yolasite.com/

"I am a 23 year old female who decided to go out and do freelance work. I have had almost ten years in the profession and previously worked with such salons as PR @ PARTNERS, Arden Red Door, and Xander Blue Salons. As for my makeup credentials I have worked with such establishments as Benefit, Dior, Arden, Lancome, Benefit, M.A.C. and started with the timeless classic Clinique. "

Besides the fact that I am SURE it is ALL LIES;

She is trying to say she has been a professional make up artist sienc she was 13!

And all the photos on that site are stolen too. Mostly from Seventeen Magazine.

Wonder if Black Knot gave her a copyright release to use their images for a comercial purpose?

And if thye know they can revoke use later because she is tarnishing their reputation because of her fraud.

I think that is one of the only things that is legit. Notice how bad the makeup is? She doesn't know how to do Asian eyes.... She probably got that job based on her fraudulent portfolio.

Boosterthon. It is a scam on every possible level, and it involves harassing and humiliating children.

But, for $12 million a year, Chris Carneal manages to sleep at night.

Fuck you I love Boosterthon. We started using them 3 years ago and they doubled our money the first year, and that's after taking their cut. Then the second year we made 20% more than the previous year. And last year with them we made 10% more than that. And that's all after paying them their commission. Sure as shit works a whole lot better than lazy ass parents who complain the school doesn't do anything but they never participated in the other fundraisers.

Sorry to say, Boosterthon is not only unethical and immoral but it operates in violation of numerous school regulations. Its days here are numbered to be sure. Chris Carneal and Brett Trapp will have to find new school systems to victimize.

From what I've read, Boosterthon is only marginally less greedy than the hopefully-now-defunct Civic Development Group, which promised a minimum amount of money and kept around 80% of the rest.

It's companies like these that make people wonder why they should donate to make someone richer and just maybe help some deserving person in the process.

if is over a certain ammount (traditionally $2000, but that's old)

then it's worth the town getting a possee to go find who has the money and get it back

if it's a small ammount: you owe it to the law to hold your purse tightly, lesson learned

-----------------
so is there going to be a possee to hunt down who got the stolen money ?

Mimi Diaz Torres is a convict. She is being made to repay her employer through her probation officer. Hats off to PWC for doing the right thing.

I hope that bitch has learned her lesson.

Having kids do the work that adults don't want to do.
Doesn't that meet some definition of exploitation?

And when we measure success in terms of dollars, have we forgotten that the primary mission of the PTA is child advocacy, not fundraising?

I believe Lizzy that she doesn't hVe a computer. The problem with Cary verifying an ip is that the poster of the pic doesn't have to be the person that took the screen shot. I myself have reposted the screenshot of Megan's page before.
