RG3's days as a Redskin are over

RG3 has been benched for this Sunday's game. I think it's fair to say his days are numbered.

Given the struggle for justice in Ferguson, I question the timing of this decision. I fear rioting will break out at the game.

LOL, great news indeed.

I think I'm going to miss this big-mouthed doofus if they get rid of him. Maybe he can be a 2nd-stringer somewhere else?

Starting McCoy is just stoopid. Cousins is the better QB. Again another bone head decision.

Its about rewarding performance in the game not ability. For too long the Skins have bolstered Divas by playing talent while benching ambition and performance under fire. I happen to agree that Cousins is capable of being a starter but his ambition went too far and he gave up picks he didnt need to (many out of selflessness trying to do the impossible). That is not performance. Colt performed, period.

Colt only had 1.5 games so lets see what he can do. The key is a message to the team - play well and you get to play. dont play well and you will be warming the bench.

Colt has only played 1.5 games. Against Dallas the defense was amazing and they won in OT. Colt was lucky, Robert would've lost.

Kurt put up 75 points in two games. The defense fell flat and he had to play catch up by forcing some throws and lost a couple but he has put more points on the board than any QB in DC in the last 3 years. Even Manning tales chances and gets intercepted when behind.

Only reason to play McCoy is to get his trade value up.

Nothing good will happen for the team until they change the name.

Guess what? The endorsements go bye bye when you get benched. Wife will probably take a hike when he's unemployed in the NFL. Hope he saved some money.

This guy was a media/hype driven talent from day 1 and Danny fell for it hook line and sinker.

Thank goodness!

I can start watching the Redskins again now that I don't have to watch Griffin screw up the game with his inability to make a decision.

Also I don't have to listen to racist Doc Walker incessantly defending RG.

Its too bad that egos and politics absolutely destroyed this season. I wonder what goes on in Snyder's brain that causes him to hurt his own business year after year.

It will be interesting to see how Bobby Broken Legs responds to being benched. I doubt that's ever happened to him. Will he cry, moan, and blow up his social media or will he nut up and shut up?

The Redskins won't sniff success as long as Little Napoleon Danny Boy Snyder owns the team. Danny gets off sniffing jockstraps and bending over gullible fans. Winning isn't his concern.

I love the video of RGIII having five open receivers to choose from and throws it into the ground. I will give the Shanahans credit. They knew what they had to work with. RGIII was successful in their system because they used the zone blocking running scheme and had RGIII throw on play action. If you watch the first season, RGIII would fake the handoff, roll out in the bootleg and either throw to his first read if he was open, or pick up yards by running to the sideline. RGIII is not a pocket passer. He doesn't have the mechanics. He can't read defenses and he can't see the field.

Good point - the d did play a world-class game against the Cowboys. The D gave up a ton of points in the games Cousins played. Id like to see Cousins get some more game time but Id also like to see how Mccoy does. We finally have a combo of good running backs and good receivers. The defense has to show though. Seems like they get beat deep every single game almost cancelling out Jackson.

Id actually keep all three QB's and let them battle it out next year. Focus on the O line, Secondary and maybe a monster Tight End. Colt and Kirk can sure as hell handle the plays they were giving RG in the last game. Kirk only got in trouble because he was so good they got pass-happy. Run Morris like they did last sun and Kirk could cherry pick the multitude of open receivers RG had.

Id have to say Kirk is most liked by the receivers because he knows the patterns and delivers with precise timing. Lots of receiver bonuses to be had with Kirk playing. The risks can be mitigated by running more with kirk under center. In addition I think Kirk ran better than RGIII.5 He knows how to slide and he knows how not to get hit running and when in the pocket.

Games is just too fast and violent for the QB to hold the ball. I think the majority of the reasons RG is being benched is for his own personal safety. Its virtually certain that any QB showing the flaws RG has would be brutalized and injured. RG should thank God he is being benched till he learns timing. He would be crippled in a few more games.

It keeps the peanut connection, and you could call the cheerleaders The Raisinets. Pure marketing genius. Plus the name would then describe to a T the typical FedEx fan.

Where have you been? He's already crippled. This is the reason the read option is no longer an option. RG Me has lost not one, but several steps, with all his injuries. His ace in the hole was his blinding speed and that is gone. Time to fold the hand.

I wasnt speaking euphemistically. True, RG went from world-class sprinter to 30's-pick-up-league-basketball-at-the-local-gym speed, but he can still walk without a limp.

Maybe Mike Shanahan actually knew what he was doing, but "the Danny" couldn't accept it. Jay Gruden will probably face the same demise!

You don't need a world class athlete at QB, look at Brady, Manning, and previous great QBs. It doesn't hurt but it ain't imperative.

RGIII didn't earn any of the special privileges he got from Danny Boy. Before he threw his first pass in the NFL, he was drinking scotch with Danny in Potomac. The main problem with this team is that it has an owner who treats it like it's his fantasy football team. No way in hell an owner should get that personally involved in a player until they've done something of merit...like win the fucking SuperBowl. But Snyder will never change, and neither will this team.

Snyder is a train wreck. Pretty much every year he makes bad decision after bad decision. He fires winners to hire flash. Got rid of Mitchell for Deon. Fired winning coaches. Tried to humiliate Zorn into quitting to save 2.5 million. Rips fans off with hidden parking charges, stale defunct airline peanuts. Sells beer in the men's room. He ruined Six Flags. In short he is huge douche with money.

Makes all of us look bad if you ask me.
