BURKE Virginia

Why does Burke look weird? The 7-Eleven (by Fire Starion) looks like it had a lot of stores around it and my other question is why are the homes so close to the Train Tracks?

Well Dulles Airport was built in the sticks, and look at the homes out there. In this case the Tracks had no homes that close until Lake Braddock Drive was extended to Rolling in 1980?? before that there was nothing from Burke Road to the Tracks (what you know now as Burke Road) but with anything it wasn't a problem when you lived there, unless making a Phone call when a train went through. There are a few Burke threads, but to save you time we had a Sporting goods store, Hardware Store, Ice Cream store, Pet Shop. If you want further back just look at Clifton and see how close they are to the tracks, but that was back in the 1800's

Don't confuse "old" Burke with Burke Centre. We started clearing trees for Burke Centre right where the WalMart parking lot is in 1976.
