What Are The Heritages of FFU Members?

I'm curious to know if there is one country type or heritage type that posts on FFU?

Mine is pretty much what you would expect for a typical FFU poster. My heritage is tracked back to... what for it... I'm of Irish Heritage. A drunken, very opinionated, obnoxious type. Immigrated to the US in 1834 through NY - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ote/ships/irish1833-1839p.htm

I suggest that if you are curious about your ancestry, to use 23andme. I got a genetic kit for $99, sent it in, and a few weeks later their labs have the results.

Being blonde-haired and blue-eyed, I always thought I was mostly German and English, and several of the families I'm descended from have been in this country since the 1630's.

Imagine my surprise, then, when I had a genetic test and it turned out I have about 3% Native American DNA and 6% Sub-Saharan (West) African DNA.

The lesson here is don't go shaking your family tree too hard, because you never know what color apple is going to fall out of it.
