All alone on Turkey Day
Posted by: Lonely Guy ()
Date: November 16, 2014 11:03AM

What can people do when they are by themselves on Thanksgiving day? I can't go back to my family on the West Coast and its the Cunt (aka ex wife) turn with the kids. Any thoughts?

Do what you do every other fucking day? The celebration of the white man showing how they are the true savage race shouldn't be celebrated. You think people hanging with their families is more fun? No. It's not, it's awkward and as soon as you're done eating you just want to sleep. Then wake up and stomp and trample people for shit you should already be thankful for.

Volunteer to serve a Thanksgiving meal to the less fortunate. Your ex might be impressed when she finds out.

I agree. If you can't find anyone at all to be with then go feed the hungry. You're lonely everyday what makes this day so much different? The fact that you got a divorce shows that you deserve to be alone you little whiny bitch. Maybe you're the cunt if you're kids would rather be with their mother.

Sleep in, make a pot of coffee, watch the parade, hit the gym or go for a run/walk, pick up a pizza, open a beer, take a nap, watch football, then go to bed. It will pass.

Invite friends over. Cook a nice meal. Contrary to popular belief, turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc. are easy to make. Buy dessert. Or just invite people over for appetizers. Whatever you do, don't just sit there and drink and feel sorry for yourself.

I have spent the last 5 thanksgiving days in my Mom's basement with two dogs. Start with a wake and bake then drink beer till noon or so. After that take a nap before football starts. Fire up another bowl around 3pm then drink more beer and eventually have a nice frozen dinner (I make an extra one for the dogs to split) and pass out early. Hopefully you have Friday off. Enjoy!

Son, I told you that you can come upstairs on Thanksgiving if you:

1. Shower
2. Wear clean clothes and
3. No drooling over your young cousins

Sad truth is that my Mom goes out of town to my sisters house for a few days at Thanksgiving. I have to stay and care for the dogs. Fuck my life.

You are one lucky son of a bitch. If I were in your shoes I would rent a great hotel room and watch football while drinking and ordering room service. Give it a try, this may be your only chance in life to experience this!

You are lucky that you have somewhere to be, alone or not.

I'm 17 and in foster "care" (a misnomer if ever there was one!). Everytime my current foster "parents" have company (and thanksgiving is definitely one of those times), I have to leave their house until the company leaves. That will be Saturday this year they told me. They say I embarrass them and they don't want their guests to see me (I'm pretty fat and very ugly).

Thanksgiving and Christmas are the worst holidays for me because it's usually cold and most public places are closed. So, it's harder to find somewhere to wait until I can go back to the foster house. I'll probably stay at the post office because the front part is open even when the office is closed and it's warm in there!

Two suggestions:

First, buy a small turkey and a case of beer. Get up early, make the turkey and hang out watching football and eating turkey. Nobody to annoy you, no need to get dressed up, sounds good to me.

Second, if you don't want to cook. Go to a bar, there are tons of places open all day. I went to Old Town Alexandria on Thanksgiving a few years ago before the turkey was done at home and hung out for an hour or so in a bar. It was packed with people having a great time.

Finally to the foster kid. If you are real, I feel for you man. Hang in there, don't let the bastards get you down. If you're fat star walking for 30 minutes a day and cutting back on junk. Within two weeks you'll notice a difference and start feeling better about your self. Teenage years suck for everyone but you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish if you take care of yourself and start getting some confidence. If you're a troll.. same advice.

You must be a young adult. In your position you do an 'orphans' thanksgiving. Find some friends or coworkers that are in the same situation and get together. Cook at home if you can but you probably cannot. No biggie, just make reservations early somewhere or an even better option is get takeout chinese and buy some pies or some desert shit from a good bakery or Costco.

Get shitfaced and have some fun. If you cannot muster even one friend you might want to consider that a goal for the coming year. In that event get your ass to a food shelter and do some volunteer work so you can see how good you really do have it and how helping others is a great reward.

^ Sorry I wrote the above before seeing you had an ex wife. you are not young and inexperienced. You are a spoiled jerk though. If you lived your life, including a marriage and never were alone and now you are without sig other or friends there is a reason for that my friend. No one wants to be around you. Also, as mentioned most of us go out of our way to invite someone without a place to go so if no one had yet there is a reason for that as well.

Still go the the shelter and figure some stuff out bro - you are on a track for being very very lonely in life.

We have a tradition in my family where we watch the homless people on the news that are eating at the shelters and make fun of them.

If you want to find a place where people are gonna congregate, Google it. Most likely, the folks will be middle aged or older, and mostly guys or blue haired ladies. But if you go help at a shelter, there could be the side effect of feeling better about your situation as you see the people who have lost most everything, and you may see your situation could be worse. Also, sometimes, some of the other volunteers are attractive ladies who may be impressed by the guy who's coming to help out. Just don't say your doing it because your lonely. Your doing it because giving is what lives all about. You might get laid. Or you might meet a female staying at the shelter. Not all people in shelters are trash, some are abused women with no place else to go. Some are people who live paycheck to paycheck that had a home foreclosed, or something similar. But many are trash or slackers. So, if you meet a resident, be aware

We always had the tradition that if we knew someone who was going to be alone on the holidays, we'd harass the shot out of them, calling them loser and prank calling them telling them they needed to get a life. it was hilarious actually.

I volunteer weekly at the biggest facility feeding the homeless in the district (think O Street) and only the amateurs, self absorbed and narcissists come out during Thanksgiving. This non-profit has a turkey run on PA Avenue which I will work at through lunch and then over to one of my go to bars for a late lunch and back home for football. It will be sad not to be with the kids on Thanksgiving as this will be my first without them or a girl friend.

The trolls on here are free to pass judgment - I have a thick skin!

I did thanksgiving alone a few years ago. Was too busy with work and didn't have time to travel out of town for family stuff. So I slept late, goofed off around the house for a few hours, grilled up a huge porterhouse steak and watched football all day. Went to bed and got up early for work on Friday. It was actually a pretty comfortable relaxing day.

I'd love to be alone one Thanksgiving. Instead I have to deal with my annoying relatives who go through the same ritual every year. I hear the same stories about everyone's health, their financial woes, and other such shit.

I'd give anything for it to be cancalled.

Be thankful. Go shopping. I'm hoping to be alone on Thanksgiving, but I only have so many excuses.

Volunteer somewhere. Give regular volunteers that day to be with their families while you fill in for them. Look for public service needs - cops, hospitals, fire departments - make the day they have to work rather than be with their families a little easier. Feed them home made food on their shift. Fill in at the hospital.

Deliver meals to the infirm and shut through Meal on Wheels, for example. give those volunteers a day off to be with their families.

I'm sure you can think of something.

Go to Boston Market and get a plate. Not the family meal because they fucked that shit up big time and I had to bring it all back. Then you watch some Netflix with some apple pie.

Thanksgiving is bullshit. It is just an excuse for people to have a cheat day. They are not thankful and they go back to being the same fucking assholes the next day after they shit out all the turkey and sides etc.

I am thankful for what I have,
I am thankful for what I do not,
I am thankful for what God has given me,
I am thankful for what God has not given me,
This comes from my heart,
My than you list is not that short,
I will live every day,
I will leave every bad day,
No matter it comes,
No matter it goes,
I will always enjoy what the Universe owes,
Let me be enough thankful to God,
Let me break that negative thread,
I will fly,
I will rely,
Oh…. God I will rely on your blessings!!
I have so much to be thankful for,
My life is not enough to describe the thankfulness to God!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Most years I would be happy to be alone on Thanksgiving. Get up when I want. Go to the gym. Eat what I want when I want while watching football. No dressing up or having to scrub down the house, which is especially annoying when it isn't your house.

This year will be different though. Its a low key gathering of family/friends that I see every week. Pot luck dinner with plenty of liquid refreshments.

Take a walk in a nice place during the day , reflect on the people you love that are here and have gone, then think about good times you had this year and your dreams for next year and give thanks that this year we still have a president who supports and defends our constitutional rights, try not to think about how it will be in 2021 when JOE starts to suppress your rights and freedoms and be happy you and the rest of the USA will get through it

Gerrymanderer2 (G2, the OP original poster or spammer just above, perhaps both) posts several lies on ffu daily - many think he's a fx co gov worker who is getting paid to do it for false DNC democrat "advertising". He floods ffu with useless posts to bump down major news, demoralize americans. G2 posts fecal matter, mutilated bodies, child porn, foreign drug ads and sneaker ads, tells people to kill themselves and government should seize them and put them on psych pills in prison without a trial - decided by DNC democrats gov workers, promotes kangaroo courthouse trials, gives anti-religious rants, gives satanic ritual rants, posts black males with large dicks on white young females, portends white low birth rate and fall of USA whites, suggestive of food tampering/poisoning to solve the white problem, and anything possible to demoralize any americans on ffu - all of which are fake news he never responds to proofs it is fake. (perhaps g2 is a chinese prisoner or isis member - but definitely knowledgeable of fx co gov from the inside at times). The website operator has told him "not to post or return" (in an existing post by the sysop): not because of a political leaning but for continual illegal and gross spam along with messages that are only to demoralize if not kill others. G2 plays at financial terrorism as well; continually reporting fake and false financial data. G2 fakes emergency pleas to deaden the real response to any real one - like a devil. G2 continually spams FFU - which all users complain of: it is a real DoS attack - the attacks are not just topic bumps but designed to inject key words to kill ffu and google search results. G2 continually promotes drug use, alcoholic experimentation, and tries to convince members to meet hookers using photos from the 1990's (i doubt any that did are not arrested or dead). G2 continually posts racist posts and gay posts egging others to comment - then attacks who does - AND RECORDS IT (likely for political extortion). G2 and dems MONITOR AND RECORD* "conservatives who blast out these democrat lies and illegal abuse of telephone privilege (sometimes in a raw manner, being so jaded by the job)" (users who object to G2's actions listed so far). One ffu member discovered a south american country recording FFU databasing all posts in a non-chat database format - and when questioned - another member quickly said it was all coincidence and that this was done everywhere in the world on all sites: WHICH IS A LIE. Not all countries record the every word of what fairfaxians say on blogs. Extortion is also mentioned by G2. And the idea he's fishing for comments he can use against anyone who'd run for office is "just assume he's in that business" - and i've warned others that is what he fishes for - excuses to attack conservatives and or to extort them.

SOME POSTERS ON FFU FEEL G2 IS A JOKER: I ASSURE YOU THE ABOVE COMPLAINTS ARE GENUINELY A THREAT TO ONLOOKERS (THE UN-INTIATED), NON-DEMOCRATS, AND TO ANYONE STATING THAT LAWS SHOULD BE IMPOSED ON DEMOCRATS EQUALLY AS DEMOCRATS IMPOSE THEM ON OTHERS: MONEY

LEGAL NOTICE: DEMOCRATS HAVE `SWATTED' THE HOMES OF SOME FFU POSTS WHO REFUTE G2 AND CALL DEMS OUT ON THEFT AND LIES - AND EXPOSE THE LAWS THEY COULD BE PROSECUTED FOR BREACH OF TRUST. THAT'S A CONFIRMED WITNESSED FACT. IT IS NO JOKE WHAT G2 IS DOING. HIS CONTINUAL FISHING IS NOT IDLE - THEY ARE TRIGGERED AND ARMED. which i've warned others about since, about 2010 - that G2 is fishing for men to "erase" politically, by any means available to him

G2 has now been wimpering that anti-G2 posts are "unfair" and that users who protest G2 should be blocked, SWATTED (see above), and forced on medications (see above), and that "someone else is G2". However - do not let the vicious foreign attacker fool you into your death our out of your community: G2 has been active since exactly the beginning of 2017 "hillary has already won the election" set of lies and has only DOUBLED spam recently - yes the suicide taunting of others, false information, and all else listed above. He is not wimpering for help he has doubled the spam and vicious attacks (or they, communist/facist using federal money. I pinned him correctly when I began this warning post.

GO BACK TO HELL G2. YOU ARE EXPOSED.

DROP DEAD G2

G2 has posted several "all alone want to kill myself" messages every holiday for a decade now

HE'S A PREDATOR TRYING TO CREATE DEATH SO HIS FUCKING FOREIGNER FAMILY CAN FILL THE VOID. he should be deported
