Lost corgi - need help (North Springfield)
Posted by: Patrick C. ()
Date: November 11, 2014 05:50PM

My wife and I dropped our dogs (basset hound and corgi) with someone who was supposed to watch them. Her daughter came home this afternoon and let our corgi out. They don't know where he is.

Here is their location (you have to zoom in a good deal): https://www.google.com/maps/place/Juxon+Pl,+Springfield,+VA+22151/@38.806449,-77.228948,7z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x89b64d0d62f6b6d9:0x285e83428ad4344c?sa=X&ei=aYtiVIeUDcWNyASu2YH4CQ&ved=0CB0Q8gEwAA

The lost dog is named Berekely (sounds like Barkly). He's tricolored and weighs 27 pounds. He is microchipped. Here is his photo: http://i.imgur.com/VN6GbJc.jpg

Sorry it is blurry, it is all I have access to at the moment due to traveling.

This is obviously very stressful, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I will pay a $100 reward.

The funny thing about pet dogs is how much they love you.
I mean after years and years of being in the family,
you can just look into their eyes and see that they
really really really love you so so much.

Or you can go down to the pet store at Port Royal
and BUY a new puppie who will look at you exactly the same way on Day One.

They are animals, folks. A n i m a l s.

Fairfax has a lot of cheap, mom-and-pop Chinese restaurants, and a typical Corgi can easily account for some sizable meals!

So if you've felt funny eating that lunch or dinner from your neighborhood Chinese restaurant lately, you may have just had your first taste of a K-9! Apparently it tastes just like chicken if cooked right, according my Korean coworker!

Poor guy- I desperately hope somebody will find him and his chip will be scanned. Is he friendly with strangers? It's a good chance he will be home with you soon if so. I'll keep an eye out. I'm really sorry, I hope your friend is out looking too. Do you live nearby, could he have made his way to his house?

Yes call all the shelters and leave your information. Also post in lost and found and pets on Craigslist.

Just an FYI, Many neighborhoods in the area, have Facebook pages. If you contact them they can put a notice on their Facebook page which then goes out to many of the residents.
