Anytime Fitness - Centreville

DISCLAIMER: I have no affiliation with Anytime Fitness in any way.

A new Anytime Fitness is opening up in Centreville, and I wanted to get some feedback on this gym from current members of other locations.

How is this place? What are the monthly dues?

Should Lifetime Fitness across 29 be worried? Will they stop increasing their dues every 6 months?

Please share your thoughts.

was actually wondering the same thing.

ANd no LT won't be worried. AT will be smaller. LT is a babysitting service for rich people.

That's crazy. It's full of elderly Asians and douchey high schoolers. If I wasn't grandfathered in a super low rate, I'd leave. There's no hot chicks, the showers are gross and the lockers are all beat up.

Depends on the owne, the one in Gainseville sucks and that is why we quite. While we were members we actually went to other locations to work out. For a no frills gym it really isn't bad and the fact they are 24x7 works out nice

The owner of the Gainesville location used to own the Dulles location too, there is still a sign in the empty Dulles building saying they were forced to close in 2012. We all got refunds for like 2 months and would only be charged after Dec 2012 if we started visiting the Gainesville location. The owner was nice and let us cancel easily. Never got the whole story as to why he was forced to close his Dulles location off of Overland drive. The place is still vacant 2 years later. Not sure if he is opening the Centreville location or if someone else is.

a standard 1 person member ship is 48.00$ and they charge it to the account on the 20th of every month. i am a member at the anytime fitness in VIENNA and it is a really well run gym. it is friendly and the staff is really good my only complaint would be its to small and the weights are on top of each other. i was a member at lifetime on church st. vienna but i had to revoke my membership and switch to anytime due to their flexibility in hours of operation! but if u really want to achieve peak physical condition i would steer clear of these small gyms, where going 100% in them might make u look foolish, where as a membership at golds would give u better odds at achieving peek physical condition

So I called and the schmuck salesman makes a pitch that he gives you a deal of $5 off if you leave a Lifetime membership... and the first 100 to sign up at their new location gets another $5 discount off the membership. The catch is that you have to sign a 2 year contract with Anytime Fitness. At Lifetime I don't have a contract.

Also, I asked about childcare and he said, and I quote, "if it's important to you, you should be able to find something to do with your kid for an hour while you work out". Clearly he doesn't have kids or know how to sell to a parent.

What a dopey sales guy. Who in their right mind is signing a 2 year contract for a gym they haven't even seen? Not sure of the size, how much equipment, how crowded etc.

I went to the website and it is bullshit. No pictures of the gym, no description of the equipment, no pricing. If AnyTime Gym is trying to get past the typical gym signup nightmare, they are doing a poor job. Red flags go up when a business hides the price and says you must deal with a salesman. This should be straightforward - $xx per month, no contract. Essentially they are the typical high-pressure sales nonsense. F them.

I call bullshit on this post. There's no Lifetime in Vienna. As far as Centreville, 24 Hour Fitness just opened in the Costco plaza between Fairfax and Centreville. It's $45 a month and they do offer childcare. Much better than shitty Lifetime. Not sure about Anytime Fitness but it doesn't look like it's greeting good reviews on here so far.

Don't go to 24 Hour Fitness after midnight unless you like seeing ghosts.

Moving to Centerville in a few weeks and will basically be right across the street from Anytime Fitness (same loop as Lifetime). Was hoping this place might be affordable, but it doesn't sound like it. I already have a $20/month membership to WSC in Fairfax which will be a bit of a drive in comparison but probably still worth it.

FUCKING TROLL

it's $40-$60 month*

for $110 / mo. you could go to a fine spa and get back rubs

(depending on options like: can you use other gyms in the area)

new gym?

it will be EMPTY-ish, good if your all business, bad if you enjoy a little city hustle and bustle

it will be CLEAN - great if your a medical worker and know these places never wipe what people touch most unless by mistake

it will have too many chinese machines (due to franchise "agreements"), there will be 50 empty running machines and one usa bench press station 10 people are waiting to get on

Lifetime Fitness is not $40-$60 per month. If that's what you were quoted or what you're paying, post an image to prove it. It's significantly more than that. Not saying it's a good thing, just facts are facts.

oh read too quickly, was thinking 24/7 fitness

i have no idea what lifetime is selling or at what price. i do think i remember they are not competitive for the basic spa/gym market - that they advertise they are upper cut
