"Police say the initial investigation conducted by patrol officers determined that the male occupant of the home responded to a knock at the front door. The man outside the door then made his way into the home and assaulted the homeowner. Hearing a disturbance, the female occupant of the home made her way toward the front door, when she too was assaulted by the suspect."

This is why you don't open your front door to strangers. It's how those 3 people got shot in Alexandria too. If I don't know you the door ain't opening. Sometimes I don't even get up to look out the peephole.

If a stranger comes to my front door at night and I cant tell who it is, I just rack a shell in my 12 gauge Remington Home Defender. They usually leave.
