Hey everyone, got a quick question for ya. I have 4 ASAP classes for my DUI (along with 32 counseling sessions...). First one is coming up this Sunday, and for those who may have been through this, I was wondering if they piss test you for alcohol. Obviously they breathalyze you so I won't drink the night before, but wondering if it's safe to have a couple tonight. I don't use any drugs. Thanks!

They won't piss test you, I didn't even get breathalyzed once. Though I hear they do breathalyze sometimes.

32 counseling sessions? What does this cover and what could you possibly talk about 32 times besides guilt, shame and life goals?

Breathalyzing is fine, not gonna be a dumbass and get wasted the night before haha.

32 sessions of the same material that gets recycled every two weeks... Guilt, shame, life goals, prison, drinking, addiction... the whole enchilada.

Sounds like something that would lead me to a life of drinking.

Great way to kill an hour and a half for $50...

Make sure you leave a small turd in the sample jar along with your piss.

They gave me surprise calls twice on the night before to go to a nearby clinic and submit a breathalyzer. Some bullshit new policy. I blew dirty the 2nd time and got popped for it. Be careful.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I plan on being dry for 24 hours, just worried about what they test for the day of... Been told that piss tests can detect alcohol for like 72 hours.

My lawyer told me of aclient, tried to get his lisence back, said he hadnt drank in a while, they have a test that goes back 80 days, be forwarned

they do not do the test that is supposed to find the enzymes that break down alcohol and stay in you for up 80 hours. if they are going to do this they would have to give you the information up front. this test is so sensitive that you cannot use deodorant, hand sanitizer, or anything like that because it can give a false positive, they will do piss and breath test regularly. do not drink the night before class so your test will be clean (it is done randomly) do not know anything about them calling and telling you to go to a clinic for a test. this info is from a 2012 incident, doubt its changed. they try to get you to self report any drinking during probation. if you do drink do not do it in public, a DIP charge and you are screwed.
best advice, do not dink while on proabation!

I would just switch to jenkum, whippets and peyote while you are on hiatus. They won't be able to detect that other than your eyes being crossed and you scratching regularly at your palms.

They do test for being a dumbass. I think you'd fail.

They will piss test you and give you a breathalyzer at random times. The piss test will not show alcohol in your system, so no worries there.

The test will look for levels above 100 ng/ml. It'll be sensitive to booze in your system for around 96 hours. So, if you had a 6-pack and they test you, you'll be above 100.

500 is the "I drank last night" level.

If you have to show up for anti-drinking class a few times a week, there really isn't a good way to continue to drink and have to take this test

Nope, abstaining from alcohol is part of his release conditions.

It's either comply with their terms or do your jail sentence.

When he was released he signed documents saying he'd attend the classes and abstain from alcohol. Don't comply with the terms you go to jail, your choice.

DUI = Driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other mind altering substances. What the F**K were you thinking?

"I don't do drugs..." Well alcohol is basically a drug that reduces a person’s ability to think rationally and distorts his or her judgment. It is a depressant that slows down vital functions—resulting in slurred speech, unsteady movement, lost coordination and control, disturbed perceptions and an inability to react quickly.

You do NOT have the right to drive around drunk and endanger my family and everyone else on the road. Man up and say to yourself -- I will NEVER AGAIN drink and drive. Own what you did, and go to these sessions to learn something new and improve your life.

I've better driver drunk than a lot of Fairfax county drivers.
