Landmark.

I go to a mall for two reasons:

First and most common to pick up something that I ordered online.

Second, to buy some product that I need that's exactly the same as that sold by Macy's, Sears, or whatever at any of their stores.

I'm not there to hang around the mall or 'shop' like a woman. Since it's a ghost town, I can get in and out in no time. Minimal traffic getting there. Easy parking. No people in my way. In. Out. Back home. Done.

Springfield Mall, Because it's perfect for families because there's Dave And Busters, Regal, shopping and dining! I Like Potomac for outlet shopping but I prefer Leesburg

If you shop both Leesburg and Potomac Mills, you may be spending more time at some of OUR stores than anywhere else.

I just wait for the UPS or FedEx guy to bring stuff to me. Haven't been to any mall for anything other than a meal in years.

But you have to pay extra for UPS or FedUp to deliver to your home

Does Springfield charge for parking now? If so, can you use an ezpass?

But you have to drive to the mall. A 5 mile round trip is worth about $7 by IRS mileage rates. Not counting your time, messing with finding parking, and all of the rest.

Amazon Prime pays for itself quickly. Shoprunner has been free for me since it started. Lots of others have free shipping over some nominal amount.

I go to other stores and places for various reasons but I really can't remember the last time that I went to a mall. It's been years.

Most often not. And wasting time and gas driving around to pick stuff up isn't free either.

I have amazon prime and love it. Free shipping on most things, and you get the netflix like service.

The only thing I don't buy and it's a pain to return. I online, is clothing. You never know if its going to fit right, don't like malls much though, to buy clothing I go to the outlets.

The only reason I go to the malls, is on to go to the theaters and dinning.

I haven't been to the new Springfield Mall/Town Center yet, so I'm going to exclude that one. My favorite of the others is Fair Oaks. I do plan on going to the new Springfield thingie soon, and hopefully that will be nice because it's the closet to me of all of them. It'll be a cold day in Hell before I go to Tysons again. Seriously fuck that whole mess of an area. Landmark has no stores I like, Potomac Mills is too far and Pentagon City is just as lame as Landmark.

The wife orders multiple sizes. Keeps the one she likes that fits, packs the rest back up, and drops the box at the local UPS store. Return shipping = free.

Last year, she ordered a lamp, but they sent the wrong one. She called and the right one was sent out immediately. They told her it would be easier for them if we just kept the wrong one, so we did. Well, actually it went off to Good Will. Didn't exactly fit in with out decor.

With so many retailers offering "Free Shipping" you would have to be a fucking idiot to pay anything more than taxes.

You have to pay for the gas (and wear-and-tear) needed to drive to the Mall and back, but neither that nor whatever shipping charges might apply to an online purchase is actually going to matter much.
