WTF? Unattached homes in neighborhoods surrounding Springfield Town Center have already gone up 1k on Zillow less than 1 1/2 weeks after the mall reopens.

A half assed remodeled mall with lots & lots of empty storefronts can still raise nearby property values? WTF?

Yeah.....and? What's the surprise here? Just because you have a negative opinion of the mall doesn't mean it's actually as bad as you think it is, idiot.

Hmmm, why does your map show S. Saint Paul Street and E. Warren Avenue in Denver Colorado?? A bit far from Springfield, Va. don't you think?

It's just an example.
I cannot copy and paste the entire map surrounding STC on here.
It would be way too big and fuck up the scroll format of this thread.

Here's the current (October 29, 2014) Zillow map just across the street from Springfield Mall. Looking at its calculations (not shown here), there's been no big jump--just a fairly smooth rise since the bottom of the market in 2009.

that is incorrect. I sell real estate in central spgfd and townhomes are ranging in the 400ks to 500ks. Sfh depending on their good condition are over 500k but smaller
