robinson early 80's

I'm wondering if my memory is correct. I seem to recall a 8th grade math teacher, ( won't mention the name in case I'm wrong) that got busted for being a pimp while employed at Robinson around 1981. I do remember him wearing nice suits and driving a different nice car to work every day. Rumor then was that he used to play ball for the Detroit lions. Am I remembering correctly?

Innocent until proven guilty. He loaned a guy money who couldnt pay him back so the guy told police he was a pimp and loan shark. All charges were dropped and Mr Singletary stayed at Robinson many years after that. Great man and great teacher. Anyone know how he is doing?
