1 in 7 Silver Line riders come from PG County and Anacostia

Many Silver Line riders make a long trek from Metro's eastern branches
by Ben Ross Greater Washington October 15, 2014

Fifteen percent of commuters who take Metro's Silver Line to Tysons Corner or Wiehle Avenue come from east of the Anacostia River in DC or Prince George's County. These long commutes result from a growth pattern that puts jobs in far-flung western suburbs and affordable housing in the east. They're part of the price our region pays for sprawl.

Principally educated blacks attracted to incomes and job challenges in Virginia and also to the black culture and 50% off home prices in PG County. These people would include former drivers and Orange Line riders who used to hop the bus at West Falls Church.

This was clearly posted to provoke racist comments, but think about it - these are people coming here for the jobs. I thought you people admired hard work. Or does your abject fear of black people override that?

Which means 6 in 7 are likely from Virginia, so the idea that silver line is for PG county people to come out to Virginia is still a stupid one.

Actually the article was likely written by a racialist, not racist, but racialist to evoke a reaction from readers and see if the article link would be posted on sites like this one.

They already have these jobs. They are merely commuting to them via a newly available means.

How far over your head is that?
