Wow...gas down to $2.92/gal in Warrenton

Drove thru there this morning on the way to Charlottesville. Most stations were $2.95 but Exxon was $2.92

Never thought I would get excited over gas for $2.92/gal.....but I did!

Like those for food, energy prices can be volatile. This means they can move up and down a lot over the short-term. It's also why even though both are included in the CPI, they are excluded from so-called "core inflation", a measure that some analysts and researchers use to track underlying inflationary pressures within the economy. When gas prices are low, it is likely they will be higher again not too far down the road. When they are high, it is likely that they will soon be lower.

WTI has been cratering the last few months. It got as low as $85 today.
