How do you contribute to society in a positive way?

Challenge yourself. Pick up litter, hold the door for someone, pet a puppy, smile at someone, say good morning, acknowledge a stranger's existence.

I get drunk a lot which supports the liquor industry. After I get drunk, I get hungry and that supports the restaurant and food industry. Sometimes I crash my car after drinking a lot which in turn supports the auto parts and repair industry. And eventually I will need medical care which supports the hospital industry.

And so the replies to the question of the OP is a sample, albeit a small sample, that many young people feel and practice similar as the above replies - and surely below within minutes of this post - and will prove as another reason American society is lost and forever changed for the worse.

I will say there are a number of young people who do truly care about our future and are trying to help change things simply by the way they act and treat others on a daily basis. Sadly however, there simply just doesn't seem to be enough of them or adults, for they are seemingly completely outnumbered.

Don't blame a particular race, or ethnicity, or a lifestyle for the way things are. Look in the mirror. It's you. It's us.

To whomever truly cares - while I am so very far from being anything close to perfect, and while I get very frustrated and angry at times with "us", I swear to you I do try every day to help make this a better place, and I give you my word I will keep trying.

You would be surprised to know that it's really not young people posting on this site but middle aged white males an even mix of married, yet hating their wives and lives and single and lonely, hating their lack of lives and wives.

meh, I'd say half and half. there are a lot of young people on here.
