Are you the mother of a child serving in the military, guard or reserves? Are you the mother of a veteran? If so, the Northern Virginia Chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America invites you to an Open House on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Plan to come out and spend an evening with other mothers and share your pride and patriotism. The event will take place from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm at The American Legion Post 177 located at 3939 Oak Street in Fairfax, Virginia.
Our regular meetings provide an opportunity for you to connect with mothers of service members – both active duty and reserves, deployed to distant lands or here on American soil. We share our experiences and can offer guidance as you navigate this new chapter in your life. We have so much in common – you are not alone.
Our purpose is simple – we support each other, our troops and veterans. While we’re mostly known for preparing care packages for our deployed service members, we also support programs that benefit veterans. And we will never, ever forsake our wounded warriors or the families of our fallen heroes.
