Warner admits that Harry "Obstructionist" Reid blows as leader

Despite a double-digit lead in most polls, incumbent Sen. Mark Warner still felt he had to distance himself from his party, telling NBC's Chuck Todd during a debate Tuesday that the Senate "could perhaps do better in both parties moving forward" than having Sen. Harry Reid as majority leader.
The Virginia Democrat made the comment after Todd asked him if he thought Reid, D-Nev., was the best possible leader the Senate could have. "I'll take that as a no," Todd said.

You seem to be conveniently forgetting that Reid was the one who mastered that approach during the Bush administration.
He's also the one who controls what comes to the floor which is a big part of why cloture votes come into play.
Unlike you, Warner at least is intellectually honest about it.

Absurd. The all-time record for cloture motions filed in a single Congress was obliterated thanks to the minority Republicans in JUST THE FIRST YEAR of the 110th Congress.

You're completely clueless. Cloture isn't necessary under any circumstance unless a filibuster is ongoing. Filibusters are a tool of the minority.

You are one stupid piece of shit. The question Warner raises is whether the Republicans don't simply hate Reid so much that having a different leader might lead to better results. It makes him look more independent to raise the point, but in reality, Republicans will not work with any Democrat at all. None zip zero. They are heels-dug-in ideologues who will let the nation go to hell in a handbasket before cooperating on anything.

And who was the one who was primarily responsible for starting its use in this "obstructionist" way and who still holds the personal record prior to? HINT: look Reid's record in the 108th after losing the Senate in the mid-terms. I don't think that anyone has surpassed that. You seem to be forgetting that he was the one who caused the earlier threat to invoke the original "nuclear option." Fortunately, some bipartisanship (not on Reid's part) in the form of the "Gang of 14" shut him down and prevented it from being even more of a clusterfuck.

You're a moron. There are few if any true filibusters these days; therefore, cloture motions/votes become the measure. Which you should know if you're going to cite the 110th as you do above. You seem to understand that's whats actually being counted.
Which btw is happens when you limit any input by the minority as Reid has.

Idiot ideologues like you on both sides are the problem.

So are you arguing that Reid is an effective Leader? Stick to the point of the thread.
