I was actually locked up with him. He has currently been incarcerated since Aug 2015 awaiting sentencing. He's actually a nice guy and is a trustee at the jail. He just makes a lot of stupid mistakes. A lot of the deputies respect him. Hope he can change his life around.

Madison man dies in single-vehicle crash in Culpeper

AMadison County man died early Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 15 in Culpeper County.

A 2001 Ford Ranger was traveling north on the two-lane highway when it ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned onto its side, according to Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corrine Geller.

The driver, 29-year-old Landon W. Bowers died at the scene, less than a mile south of General Winder Road near the Carver Center and Cedar Mountain Battlefield. Bowers was wearing a seat belt.

State police believe the crash occurred around 5 a.m. on Wednesday. However, it was not discovered and state police notified of the crashed vehicle until 7:22 a.m. on Wednesday, Geller said.
