Four pedestrians were hit by a car in Annandale, Virginia Friday afternoon, Fairfax County Police Department said.
The pedestrian crash happened on the 7200 block of Maple Place, police said.
Investigators said the driver of a vehicle left the road and struck four people. The driver, passenger and the four pedestrians were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
One person is suffering injuries determined as life-threatening. The status of the other people transported to the hospital remains unknown.

Rather than prosecute the driver with reckless driving or potentially vehicular manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter, Steve Descano will investigate the FX County police for racial profiling of the driver.
