On paper RGIII should be a thousand times better but Kirk seems to have that intangible factor necessary to be a winning quarterback, not sure what it is, but Cousins sure has it.

RGIII 'paper' bona fides are old college stats when his leg was still good. He had one good year but never learned the system just run and gun. QB is about brains in this league. Few people have the brains and quickness to survive. Without his legs RG is worse than average. He is just a guy that cannot stay in the pocket and cannot escape D lineman. Add to that he is not quick enough mentally to see the routes and you have a 3 and out every time.
Knows were everyone is at all times. True he got blindsided today but that was an unblocked rusher and he held onto the ball. Kirk is a fine QB especially since he has had only 3 starts. Its better for everyone if RG sits out and cashes his Millions - he simply wont survive being hit by these big boys and he has few if any basics of the position down.

Like Obama, RG3 had so much potential but refused to use it, lead and has become a failure.
Kirk is an average OB but is able to run the offense the way Gruden wants to. That's all. It's not rocket science. When RG3 is better, Danny will have him start.

RG was always 'developing' or 'coming back from injury' or 'learning the system. Take Kirk cold off the bench and he does very very well right away. Sorry you cannot simply make every excuse in the world for RG and tell us Kirk is 'average' Its either Kirk is average and RG is one of the worst in the league or Kirk is pretty good and RG is average. I did read the stats - RG - given every single advantage. Given Millions is a big time loser. Kirk gets Zero advantage, comes off the bench with a team that already gave up last year. Give Kirk half the chance RG got and you could have a fair comparison.
I will give you this - DC is an excellent place to worship losers and RG was excellent at providing that service. You are probably too young and stupid to know of a time when we had good players and a good team. Joe Theisman was no RG III either. He was a slow pocket passer with a decent arm and good decision making. He could not hold a candle to your god RGME he just won football games...

^ITT he just could not win unless he was killing himself. Its much easier to throw the ball to teammates rather than take on the entire defense by yourself. The o line can only create a pocket they cannot provide a mobile shield for RGME when he ad-libs. He just puts himself up as meat-on-a-hook.

Well at least we get to see how Kirk does with a team that has a reason to win. Last year the 3 games he played were for all intents exhibition games - the team was out of contention for anything other than Last place. Add to that the coaches were desperately trying to get fired and I dont see it as a fair debut.
He is 1-1 with the team in contention. Lets see how this plays out. Best of luck to RG hope he is better soon - we will want that wildcat option for the playoffs...

Washington is an underdog tomorrow - Philly is the best team in the division by far. My opinion is that it will be up to the defense to get 4 and outs and up to the Offense to hold the ball. That means lots of running from Washington. They have to keep the ball out of the hands of Philly because the Eagles run Track Meets not 'games.' With Philly its all about possession and conditioning. They may be the best conditioned team in the league and they run a very fast offense.
All Kirk has to do tomorrow is follow the running game. He just has to read the blitzes and hope Morris and the front line can move the ball on the ground. In all likely Washington will lose. We need Kirk to stay healthy above all. We lose him and its lights out folks...

We have 2 promising QB's we are lucky. RG will be there and in the mean time Kirk gets some valuable experience. In many ways this is the best possible thing that could happen for the team. With a new coach and some new impact players this is a building year anyway. If Kirk has weakness we will find them out in time and he will get to work on them just like any other QB with 3 starts under his belt.
RG gets to think hard how he wants to play this game in the mean time. They say he is smart and hard working. We will see. At this point his skills at the position are, in my opinion well behind Kirk's. RG will need to study a lot to catch Kirk now - that is a very good thing for Washington...
