If a man enters your church wearing an expensive suit, and a street person wearing rags comes in right after him, and you say to the man in the suit, 'Sit here, sir; this is the best seat in the house!' and either ignore the street person or say, 'Better sit here in the back row,' haven't you segregated God's children and proved that you are judges who can't be trusted?"

Our only hope is to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus so we can clearly see that our faith is Christ-originated. Whenever we look around at others, we are utterly incapable of resisting the urge to be swayed by public opinion. It is absurd to have faith in ourselves to use good judgment in living our lives. Our faith is not in ourselves or our abilities. In fact, our faith only originates because He is a faithful God. When we understand this, we can finally live out this faith freely, without self-consciousness, and without paying any attention to the fashions and customs of our world. We are finally free to love others and treat them impartially, as Jesus did.

Prayer:
Lord, thanks for another reminder in scripture that you originate and build our faith as we focus on you and witness your unconditional love. We are moved with your passion in us to share your love with anyone, regardless of what they look like.

...just when I think people cannot possibly sound more ridiculous...I hate to break this to you, but the bible is a fine piece of fiction written by MEN, not some invisible man in the sky. And it was originally intended to control people before governments stepped into that role, and this guy Jesus that you cling for some unknown reason, if he even truly existed, was just a man...not the son of said invisible sky man. You'll tell me I'm wrong, and that you have faith that you're right, but right or wrong, you sound completely delusional.
