A gym on a month to month lease?

What kind of dipshit would operate a gym on a month to month lease? This is the second time in the past few years that this place has gone away. Good luck getting any of your current clients to trust you in the future with their money.

So Pro Maxx should move the fuck out and go some other place with a 5 year lease. Seems pretty clear cut to me. They can petition all they want but it doesn't mean shit in court. What type of lame brain business idea is a petition???

Owners, employees, and members of Pro Maxx Fitness in the Annandale Shopping Center on Columbia Pike are mounting a petition drive to fight the landlord’s plan to evict the gym by the end of September.

It’s all about a disagreement over the lease, says personal training manager Rachel Martin. Pro Maxx doesn’t have a written lease and has been rent to the owner of the shopping center, the McWorter family, on a monthly basis. Pro Maxx wants a five-year lease but the shopping center manager, Carol Zach Reuss, “won’t agree to anything,” Martin says.

More like good luck getting any other business into the Annandale Shopping Center LLC, if Carol Zach Reuss keeps evicting the tenants every year or so for whatever reason she wants to continually not share. Then the only 'dipshit' is going to be the moron that tries to start any business in there with only a verbal contract (despite those being just as legally binding in the state of Virginia).

Truthfully its going to be a huge loss when/if this place shuts down because of the number of members (police, military, medical, elderly) who rely on this gym as part of their daily routine.

ProMaxx could only get the landlords to agree to a month-to-month lease becuase it was the only offer that would allow them to create a gym. Ahmed and Susan poured all their money into renovating the place and they have done a fantastic job. They also had to deal with a break in before they oppened where their televsions were stolen and a lot of equipment wrecked, supposedly by people who didn't like having a gym around. No trust has been violated whatsoever, and should the eviction occur they have already outlined a way to give memembers back their money.

Which if you were a member, you would know.

If you want to talk about gyms violating trusts locally, you should read up more on Foundation Fitness, and their appearent inability to honor the Groupons purchased for their services. Despite Yelp reviews stating that people have been contacted, I know for a fact they haven't.

WTF is wrong with the owners? What kind of reasoning would lead you to sink money into equipment and buildout with full knowledge you could be out in 4 weeks?

If the LL gave you some kind of false assurances, that's one thing, but you knew what the contract you signed said, yes or no?

So all the people who build million dollar beach homes should be surprised when a hurricane takes their shit away?

Not sure if it's just a nmae change or what, but I think there's been at least three gyms there in the last decade or so.

WingNut,

I'm amazed you have the time to comment given how you've been busy 'chasing down many of these pics' from the Fappening/Hollywood Nude Leak according to your last post on here.

No gym for you as long as you got Rosey and her five sisters, right boss?
