In the story, is that a pack of condoms on the nightstand in her bedroom?

Condoms, check. Hand cream, check. Toilet paper, check.

So she showed up at a rehab facility.... Surprise!
This is what drugs and alcohol can do. Im speculating from the picture here but when people bring you a gift basket and it has dish soap, sponges, 409 and shampoo from CVS you are likely 'rebuilding' your life. There are local groups that can help with drugs alcohol or both. They are free and there are lots of meetings - go to the front of the phone book and you can find them.
I used to go to high school with her and knew her family.
She was/is a drug addict. Her family tried to help her for many years and finally got to the point that nothing they did could help her so they had to let her go. You can only get clean if you want to and work for it. She has made many poor choices in her life. She had a couple of family members that were addicts and they worked hard to clean up but she did not. Hope she turns it around. Sandara was class of 2004 at MVHS.
Last checked. She is still alive. She has recently contacted one of her family members. I guess the years away made her realize she needs help and is ready for it.
I don't know where she is currently but hope for the best and hope she is ready to turn it around.
Sandara used to be a sweet girl when she was a kid.
Foster care sort of messed her up. In high school she was very artsy, super creative, but she got into drugs and alcohol and everything went down hill for the girl. Poor choices.
It is important to focus on doing the next positive thing, and not dwell on the negatives. The damage and mess made by using is something that needs to be worked on, but finding the reasons for using is very important. Simply saying don't use is not enough.
She was in foster care?
Mother/Father addicts?
May run in the family.
There is help for her when she is ready to surrender, and begin the work to rebuild her life.
As someone who has battled addiction for years I know how hard it is. This girl has a disease and like other posters said, she needs to decide it is time to quit for herself. God bless and I wish her luck.
