DC police perps: ticket you if parked overnight w/o DC tags

"I received ticket in D.C. for failure to secure D.C. tag on August 11, 2014. I was parked at my grandmother's house overnight and had a temporary visitor parking permit from 4th District police station. I received a $100 ticket anyway," writes Briona Williams.
"[DMV] states that I can still get a ticket even if I have a permit because my car is not registered in D.C.

they should be arrested for using assault forces (police) for criminal action and teft, using a position of trust

Yea I lived there for the last couple years, was a PIA. Had to find the police station, get a permit, then go to the DMV in SE and get a DC license, plates, different insurance etc, just so I could park there. Should of gotten a reserved spot in the garage.
My first day there I got a ticket for parking on Wisconsin Ave, oops didn't realize it was different parking rules on the weekend.. was blocking rush hour traffic. Guess I deserved that.

no i mean it had to be insured in dc instead of va, or else every day it's parked there w/o dc insurance is some huge fine that adds up

So you think you should be able to live in D.C. without registering your car? Try that almost anywhere else and it wouldn't take a "couple years" to get caught.

yea i went to the grand kanyon with a tent and stayed a night and was sent a $500 bill because i was not a city resident
yea i went to FL for vacation and got a $500 ticket becuase i parked and was not a FL resident
