Fairfax Fraternal Order of Police Fundraising

Fitz Patrick called from 703-349-6074 asking for money for the Fairfax Fraternal Order of Police. Offered to send an officer to my house to pick it up and leave me a car sticker. Hung up quickly when I said I was not interested.

Is this for real? Does the FOP really raise money this way?

I think they actually do. They do bring stickers and provided something that I could use for tax purposes. HOWEVER, if you do give them money, they will bug the piss out of you every year after that. They call from several numbers.

Just don't give money over the phone. Tell them that you only give money after they send information in the mail and you have time to check on their organization. If they are honest, they will send the information in the mail.
