Just compare that picture to any of the ones Winters, Nevens or anyone at 27, 22, 21 or any firefighter or medic at any of the stations in the county have on their phones.

I would get those letters of recommendation out of her application file before someone someone comes asking why you wrote them, or better yet, one of the flunkies on here FOIAs the whole file. I know you were thinking about her in bed manner while writing about her bedside manner, but come on man, did you have to put it in a memo?

Just curious, but what does her being allowed to attend paramedic school have to do with anything? Did her approval prevent another volunteer from being able to attend? Also, just because she's attending the class doesn't mean she's going to pass.

There were only a couple of slots set aside for volunteers, so yes, she took a slot from more experienced Volunteer EMTs to get in. You are right, getting doesn't mean you'll pass.

This is also a free class paid for by the County. Others have to pay to go take it elsewhere, so a free ride to a paramedic license is a big deal. The other volunteers who wouldn't fuck their way into the program will now have to drop thousands of dollars out of pocket.

Station 22 put a volunteer ambulance in service more than any other volunteer station in the County. 22 had more hours than anyone else, so remember that when you say volunteers don't do anything.

And how many of those hours were for an ALS unit? How many were padded by standby hours like the Bridgewalk, or Wolftrap events?

Oh, and that new ambulance gawd awful.

This is another perspective of why getting into paramedic school is significant...I think a key factor is not how many hours the volunteers provide actual ALS coverage, but that a paramedic license is probably a preferred qualification for being hired in Fairfax as a career person, and being a volunteer already released to practice that wouldn't require a full (if any) internship is an enticing perk to one's resume that may place it at the top of the pile when it comes time to hire.

Another tick stealing money from a Union member. All those standby hours were hours of overtime not paid to professional firefighters as it should be.

Volunteers won't get paid to attend this class, FRA personnel will. This means the 2VP will have to be working nights and weekends to pay the bills, which will more than likely affect class work. Getting in is one thing, finishing is another. Winters played this good; give a recommendation to get into a program she can't finish, but she still owes him for. Smart move, guess that's what gets you promoted.

Tick is a derogatory term some career staff use to describe volunteers. A tick is a parasite that feeds off of other animals. In some people's minds, the volunteers feed off of the system. I personally never used that term. It is I believe a term local to Fairfax. Other systems use derogatory terms such as squirrels, dingers, meat whippers etc. Unecessary derogatory terms in my opinion.

That's impossible, volunteers can't just show up and rise at a career station. Well, they can when they're screwing the crew on the medic unit while they're on duty. I thought she only did that at 27.

It's a B shift day, so Winters won't be banging her out upstairs, so you have a chance.

Thanks for this info. Nevens had talked about his fling with "a crazy volunteer" but never gave out the name. Sounds like she was into some crazy stuff, both in the station and out, according to him. Now I have a name and a face to go with the stories.

She wears spanx under her duty pants which limits access until after lights out.

Do we have a Sit Rep from the crab feast?

There has been a lot of talk, anticipation and even some aspiring young gentlemen claiming they were going to step up and try their luck at the prize...Hells Bells...I was thinking about taking a shot at it myself, but I'm allergic to shellfish...

I would've thought Fairfax Underground would have had a reporter imbedded at such a high profile incident for up to the minute reports.

The only thing worse than a tick officer is a tick chief.

A volunteer who likes to play Medic. She wears clothes which don't fit, skirts in particular, and there is one jean skirt specifically which needs to be thrown away. Her medic boyfriend at Station 5 openly cheats on her but she remains with him.

How does one become a vice president at a VFD? Is this a certification, or are special members of the community brought in to run the business?

Getting elected to the board of any VFD is simple. Most people don't want it, and it's a matter of who doesn't want it the most, unless you have low self-esteem and need to validate your place in the organization. Years of waitressing helps as does the willingness of having a sexual encounter with all male members of the VFD and the career staff within the station.

Waiting tables totally prepares you for making decisions on a half million dollar piece of fire equipment.

Is that what KT does for a living? Where is she a "server" at?

Also, as far as VFD's go, a waitress is probably as qualified to make decisions on building fire and ems apparatus as an accountant, plumber, carpenter, painter, govt contractor, IT specialist etc. etc

You appear to have bad information re: JeanSkirt.

Her boyfriend is no longer a boyfriend.
He is not at 5.
She is a Medic Lead.

This puts the rest of your claims in doubt.

So, to quote previous posters, Pictures or it didn't happen.
